in the future, I’d prefer people pm me and wait until the deadline has passed before just reassigning themselves. I know we are excited and anxiously awaiting selections but
Give me an opportunity to contact missing players before we move to rearrange order.
Thanks.

Excellent choices! I have read SE Jakes's Hell or High Water series and enjoyed them. If I'm lucky, I'll be able to grab your recommendation before the end of the month! Thanks so much!

Skandia, for you I pick

Your bonus pick from me is

Give me an opportunity..."
Sorry. I waited two days after I first mentioned not getting a partner and the deadline had already passed. But in the future I will wait. Thank you!
If it’s okay, I would love to join.

I gave it 3 stars. A fun light read, but nothing spectacular. I liked it, and may give the series another read.

I finished Breaking Wild
by Diane Les Becquets and really enjoyed it. I give it 4 stars. I liked the character development.

For you I pick

I finished my first book.

The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America by Erik Larson 12/14/18 ★★★
2.5 stars. I expected more. IMO It would have been better divided into two books. One about the World's Columbian Exposition of 1893 and one about H.H. Holmes and his crimes. I felt like the two topics didn't mix well together. Surprisingly, I enjoyed the World Fair portion much more, it was very informative. The narrative style didn't fit well with the Holmes's part, there was too much conjecture for a good non-fiction and it was too boring for a mystery/thriller.

Edie was interesting enough though that I'll check out the next one though.

This book was not on my TBR but was a recommendation. I loved it! Very spooky, great characters, good story development. Thanks for the recommendation!

Thanks - I finished my two picks plus the bonus book which I really enjoyed.
Silent Threat 1/3 ★★★★
Reckless Behavior 1/1 ★★★★★
A Rookie Move 1/8 ★★★★
