message 14: by si ( ◠‿◠ ) (new)

si ( ◠‿◠ ) (buriedunderbooks) | 555 comments The challenges I'm looking at attempting and the books I'm going to try to read for them.... I might change them over time but at least right now I have sort of an idea...

3. Literally any book I read for this challenge will fall in this category, thankfully. I might try to specifically read Every Hidden Thing by Kenneth Oppel if I don't
get to it this month.

6. I have to read The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood for book club on the 21st.

8. Probably something like Rebel of the Sands (Rebel of the Sands, #1) by Alwyn Hamilton Kill the Boy Band by Goldy Moldavsky or Wolf by Wolf (Wolf by Wolf, #1) by Ryan Graudin

10. I need to read Their Fractured Light (Starbound, #3) by Amie Kaufman ASAP.

11. I specifically had The Girl of Fire and Thorns (Fire and Thorns, #1) by Rae Carson in mind when I picked this as a resolution. XD

12. I have Death Note, Vol. 1 Boredom (Death Note, #1) by Tsugumi Ohba Fairy Tail, Vol. 1 (Fairy Tail, #1) by Hiro Mashima and Ouran High School Host Club, Vol. 1 (Ouran High School Host Club, #1) by Bisco Hatori on my shelf.

13. Probably Drift & Dagger (Salt & Storm, #2) by Kendall Kulper because I have a fascination with how she presents the far north east America, somewhere I want to visit ASAP!

14. Isla and the Happily Ever After (Anna and the French Kiss, #3) by Stephanie Perkins Planning for this one, which will count toward like 3 resolutions.

22. Thinking either Madame Tussaud A Novel of the French Revolution by Michelle Moran or Yes Please by Amy Poehler

23. Don't hate me for this, but... Crooked Kingdom (Six of Crows, #2) by Leigh Bardugo or An Ember in the Ashes (An Ember in the Ashes, #1) by Sabaa Tahir .

message 15: by Greer (new)

Greer (foxingontheedges) | 92 comments WOW Sierra you have a hefty list, the only book I've read from it was Madame Tussaud, it was so good.

message 16: by Esther (new)

Esther Tubbs | 112 comments Hey guys. Sorry I didn't see this until now. Life has kept me very busy. I forgot about making my resolutions. I don't actually have them typed out or anything, but here are some thing I was thinking about.

1. Read more unabridged classics
2. Read more from my TBR list.
3. Finish any series that I've started, but not finished
4. Read more sci-fi books.
5. Read books about tigers.

I don't have much. I'm going to try to keep updated. I'm not sure what books I'll be reading, but I'll let you guys know.

message 22: by Susan (new)

Susan (jazzescrapper) | 563 comments I hope it's not to late to add another resolution to the list. If so please disregard this resolution :)

I want to 1 to 2 buddy reads per month. I have fun reading with a buddy and it helps get my TBR down.

message 23: by Esther (new)

Esther Tubbs | 112 comments I like that resolution, Susan!

My TBR list tends to stay constant with all that I read, then add more. ;)

message 24: by Susan (new)

Susan (jazzescrapper) | 563 comments My TBR is consistent too. If I wouldn't add more to it...lol....RIGHT...I love finding and adding books. It's my addiction and I think it's a great addiction to have personally.

message 25: by Esther (new)

Esther Tubbs | 112 comments I totally agree!!! It's quite fun, actually. I think my personal TBR list grows by at least 2 books for every 1 I read...

Susan (jazzescrapper) | 563 comments I hit a little slump after the holidays....it wasn't so much a slump as it was just a busy time of year for me (for everyone really) but then my son and his wife had their baby on Dec. 27th and she wasn't due until Jan. 12th and needless to say we were not prepared. I was reading but not at the pace I normally do and I was frustrated.

I do believe I am back on track and my excitement for reading has returned and I am excited to get going once again.

Just thought I would say sorry for only getting one book in so far and not checking in on time. I'm usually right on that and I wasn't.
