Divergent Series Complete Box Set question

Ok I read the Divergent series before I read the Maze Runner Series and I didn't like the first 2 books of the Maze Runner series. My friend however read the Maze Runner series before the Divergent series and didn't like the Divergent series. I want to know your opinions between the Divergent series and the Maze Runner series.

I loved the entire Divergent series, loved all the characters, and overall loved it. I didn't like the first 2 books of the Maze runner series as much as I liked the last 2. I don't think I liked the first 2 Maze Runner books as much was because they were so much like the Divergent series. I don't know that's just my opinion. I think I may have liked the last 2 books of the Maze Runner series better than the Divergent series.
