Nice blog, Michelle. I would only interject that instead of going the easy route through ODesk/Elance, authors would be better served by posting their projects on the freelance job boards at such sites as the EFA, seeking out recommendations by fellow authors, and ferreting out copy editors like yourself who demonstrate a level of competence on their website/blogs.
