((It's like this, here's my character. I know you're on mobile so you won't be able to see my character's appearance probably. Her face claim is the singer SZA though.))

Name: Jessie "Jewels" Cameron
Age: 20
Appearance:
(view spoiler)
Personality: Jessie never really imagined living like she is right now. Her dreams were always based around going off to school and studying film and photography. But after her father died and her mother abandoned her, she bounced around the foster care system she gave up on those dreams and started focusing on survival. When she was 18 she started working at a night club. She originally started out as a waitress but her boss convinced her to try dancing. Explaining how she would make a lot more money that way. Now that she's two years deep into the game she's getting tired of fighting men every night after she dances. Also, her fellow dancers are always getting into petty fights and she always seems to end up right in the middle of the drama. Overall Jessie is tired of basically selling her body to survive and is literally willing to do anything to pull herself out of this lifestyle.

DJ Walker
Age 24
Face claim https://www.pexels.com/photo/blur-boy...
DJ walker has been spinning at the club for three years in need of the steady in come but still has dreams of making it big. He's been looking for that talent to take him to the next level and has been struggling. Most of the men in the club have the same things to say and can't even say it on beat. He has a good relationship with the dancers but doesn't know of any of their problems because he doesnt think to ask. For him if a person is smiling they're happy and it's not some sort of fake layer hiding their true feelings. He and the owner get along alright. Nothing special but they stay out of each other's business.

Okay cool! How do you want to start it off?

Jessie frowned as she chugged water from her a cloudy glass at the bar. Elijah the bar tender always offered her alcoholic drinks but she was never interested in trying any, especially because drinking underage actually meant something to her. Unlike the other young dancers who drank anything they could get their hands on before going up to perform. Eli laughed when he saw Jessie finishing her water. "Jewels when are you ever going to try drinking? It'll make your shifts go by a lot faster baby girl." He said still chuckling as he cleaned dirty glasses behind the bar. Jessie rolled her eyes and responded. "Eli don't worry about me. I'd rather be sober around these crazy ass people that hang out around here." She meant what she said. She was scared that if she danced under the influence she'd end up doing a lot of things she wouldn't have intended to do if she was sober.

"I dance amazing regardless and you know it." She said giving him the glass and sliding off the bar stool. "Jewels you're up in ten minutes. Get your ass ready." One of the security guards yelled from by the stage. "You don't have to remind me Charles! I know when my shift starts." She rolled her eyes and headed towards the locker room to quickly refresh her curled hair. She passed the DJ stage on the way back, nodding to Walker signaling him to start changing the tracks to something that was more her speed.

He nodded knowing exactly what she liked and finished his red bull. "Alright I don't think y'all are ready for who is coming to the stage right now. She puts the ass in class and one wink from her could end a marriage so ladies watch your men and keep them close." He began spinning Jessie's track and waited for her to make her grand entrance.

He always thought Jessie was the best dancer the club had and she was always the friendliest to him. When his mom was sick she was the only one there to ever ask about her. It was that sort of sincerity that always made Walker want to play his role in making sure she earned big every night.

(I'm usually longer I just don't want to write your character's actions out)

((You're fine. I don't mind a variety of short and long posts.))

Jessie came back out from the locker room as soon as she heard Walker calling her. He was the only person in the club that didn't call her by her stage name, Jewels. She wondered why he didn't because most of the guys in the club didn't really respect her because she was a dancer. She guessed he was different. She fluffed her hair and pulled on her diamond body chain before walking up to the stage laser focused. Men were randomly shouting Jewels but she ignored them and got up on stage to do what she had to do. She swayed her body to the beat of the song and twirled herself around the pole. All her dance moves were clean and fluid and she didn't miss any of her steps. She could feel the eyes of some of the other dancers on her back as they rolled their eyes and commented on her routine. They thought Jessie was too bougie, because she didn't like to stand around and gossip like they did. All she was focused on was her money. She collected it smoothly as men threw it on the stage. A couple of random females were also watching in the crowd and they tipped her. Her long thick hair swayed around as she went up and down the pole.

Jessie was the only girl Walker actually paid attention to. She had the kind of moves that came from an actual dancing background and not an instagram girl looking to cash in on whatever assets God or surgeons had to offer. He gave her a few breaks in the song so she could hear just how loud the club got during her more dramatic moves and always had a good time vibing off the energy she brought.
He liked to kick it with the other girls too, and he didn't always have the strength to turn them down when they offered him company back at his small apartment, but Jessie was the only one he actually wanted to get to know on a deeper level if he could.

Jessie was zoned in on her routine when all of a sudden she was being pulled off the stage. Some man's strong grip was pulling at her waist and fighting off the club's security guards. Jessie started to hit the man on the back but her strength was nothing compared to his. The other dancers ran towards the locker room hiding like they always did when shit hit the fan in the club. Of course something like this would happen the night the owner, Kaz, was out of town. "Someone help me! Eli help me! Walker, someone help them!" Jessie screamed. The music was so loud her cries for help were drowned out. She wondered why the guards couldn't fight off whoever this man was. He kept flipping her in positions that didn't allow her to see his face. Her hair was flying everywhere as he tried to make a run towards the main exit, but as soon as he touched the door handle a gun shot when off. He dropped Jessie's small frame on the club floor and fled the place. Jessie quickly got up and ran toward the locker room.

Walker ran after her. He grabbed a bottle off the bar and bashed it over the guy's head for good measure to make sure he wouldn't get up and follow them then went back to chasing Jessie. "Call 9-11!" he instructed Eli before he left the door. "Jessie! It's all good, Jessie! It's me Walker," said and ran into the locker room.
"It's okay, the guy is out cold. we got him. Everything's okay. You need me to drive you home?" he asked sitting down on the bench careful to keep his distance. He didn't want her to feel uncomfortable but he knew she needed to get out of there. It was the only way she could feel safe. "Let's get you home."

All the other dancers were gone. Their lockers were thrown open or halfway closed. Their money bags were gone and Jessie was frustrated because she didn't even feel comfortable enough to go back out and collect what she made from the night. She pulled her hair up into a messy bun and started to take off the glitter spray from her chest with a wet paper towel. She took off her body chain and threw it against the wall. The fake diamonds falling apart with a crash as it hit the wall. She started crying as she leaned against a set of lockers. "Walker this isn't the first time some shit like this has happened. I'm so tired of this shit!" She yelled, her voice cracking as she continued to cry. "Kaz hires those idiots to protect us and they still come in here and try to snatch us. You know what happens to the girls when they actually end up taking them out of here Walker?" She asked still crying. "They pimp them out! The girls start their nights dancing on stage, get snatched after their performance ends, and spend the rest of their lives sleeping with whoever those men force them to."

After crying for a few more minutes she was able to get herself together and start getting dressed. She didn't even care about changing in front of Walker, she was half naked on stage all the time anyway. So it wasn't like he didn't know what her body looked like. She took off her dance outfit and changed into a sports bra and regular panties. She pulled on her jeans and a huge black hoodie and laced up her black hightop vans. Whenever she wasn't dancing she covered her body as much as possible, not wanting anyone to recognize her out on the streets. She always thought if they did, they'd think she was down for whatever and try to use her outside of the club. She put on the gold chain her father always used to wear before he died and grabbed her backpack. Jessie shoved her curling iron, makeup bag, and outfit in the biggest pocket of the bag and zipped it up. Normally she'd shove her money bag in there as well but she didn't even want to go back out into the club tonight. "I'll take you up on that walk home." She said walked towards the back door of the locker room.

"Sure follow me," he said holding his arm out for her to take if she wanted to. He led her out the back, and pulled out his phone to text his buddy to take care of his equipment. Greg was the only guy besides himself that he trusted with his equipment and he knew he could pick it up the next morning once he took care of Jessie.

"You can't be serious though. Kaz wouldn't want to hurt any of the girls. He relies on you all too much to pull shit like that," Walker said but he didn't believe the words even as they came out of his mouth. He knew Walker was into some shady shit but he just assumed it was drugs and off site activites. He knew the club was a den for illicit activity but why would he risk the girls safety like that?
"Has he ever made you--ya know?" he asked trying to be implicit about it but not sure how. It was an awkward conversation. He wanted to know more but he didn't want to cross any lines or make her uncomfortable.

Jessie walked carelessly through puddles when they exited the club. It had been raining for days in Atlanta and she was glad it finally stopped. Her stomach turned when Walker asked if she was ever forced to sleep with anyone. "Thank God no, but I've definitely seen some crazy shit." She said plainly. "Kaz isn't the good guy everyone thinks he is..." Her voice trailed off and she pulled on the straps of her backpack pulling in closer to her body. Even with Walker taking her home she still felt vulnerable and scared. "I don't know how he tricks people into think he's some amazing guy." She rolled her eyes as they passed the Greyhound bus station. This side of town was so shady and Jessie always hated walking by herself this late at night. Homeless people tried to reach out at her when they passed the station but she walked closer to Walker, using him as a safety net. "He's never made you flip or sell anything?" She asked confused. Djs she had known in the past were always up to no good at the club. Walker seemed different, but she just wanted to see what his reaction would be to the question. She looked up at him in the moonlight waiting for a response.
