For all of her successes, Tara was extremely insecure, to the point of getting physically ill prior to facing a challenge. Your thoughts about this seeming contradiction?

[Laura]

It didn't really make sense to me. I am a little confused by her reaction, her last case wasn't a failure because she made a mistake but they were simply too late. I kept waiting for the reveal that she totally screwed up but that wasn't the case.

[Jonetta]

I don’t understand why Griffin keeps designing her female characters this way. Tara was a SWAT officer and they just aren’t wired to be insecure. Otherwise, they’d really screw up. I was disappointed that she chose to screw up Tara this way. It just didn’t jive.

[Laura]

I agree. She wants the heroines to need saving I guess?

[Jonetta]

Who knows. But, that’s a good supposition. She starts with making them strong and then brings them down.

[Laura]

I always like a good rescue though so I don’t mind it at the end.

[Anita]

I didn't like that aspect of Tara's character either. She didn't need a flaw like that.
