My Book Under Wrong Name

I submitted my upcoming novel Fall From Grace onto Goodreads but typed it under the wrong name (Judith A Boss instead of Judy Boss) and now it is not listed as one of my books. Is there any way I can fix this?Judy Boss

This appears to have migrated again. I have moved it again and added a Librarian Note to link to this request, since the book cover with "Judith A. Boss" is likely to cause librarians to continually want to move it back.

You are incorrect, Scott. See message 1 in this thread, and Cassandra's previous change on the book record. Perhaps we need rivka to weigh in here as a GR employee (EDIT: I've sent a message with a link back to here), but when a Goodreads Author has a profile and claims their own book, it gets attached to their profile regardless of what the cover says.

Even if we want "Judith A. Boss" to appear on the book record because it appears on the title, that would appear to be a different Judith A. Boss than the one you are attaching to it, and would need two spaces to disambiguate from the Judith A. Boss academic writer. (Could be the same person, writing in a different field post-retirement, but again GR Authors are frequently given leeway in disambiguating their profiles.)

Explicit requests by the author have been made to attach both Fall from Grace and Deception Island to Judy Boss.

From the librarian manual:

Some authors write or have written under multiple names. When editing or adding information for a book written by an author with multiple names, enter the author's name as it appears on the front cover as the primary author. The author's other names may be added in the other author fields.

The only thing Rivka needs to weigh in on is whether "Judy Boss" is even a valid profile, since the name appears on none of her books.

To complete the record with relevant links for review by higher staff, I note that there is now a Judith A.^^Boss profile, and that the books requested to be attached to Judy Boss are Fall from Grace (above) and Deception Island (at https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... on author profile), which has been published both as Judith A. Boss and as J.D. Boss.

This is correct, as that is the name on the earliest published cover. Listing Judy Boss as secondary on all editions is fine. The ones with Judith A. Boss on the cover need to have that (the right one) listed as well.
