SOLVED. (Fiction) Novel with parents whose occupation as Paranormal investigators is similar to Ed and Lorraine Warren. [s]

Okay, I purchased this book from Barnes and Noble, in the fiction section, maybe two years ago. It's a paperback with a lot of green on the cover (and back).

I think it's all, or mostly, from a daughter's point of view. She has a sister. Her parents claim to communicate with spirits and investigate haunted places/objects; they also give lectures (a la Ed and Lorraine Warren). At some point they take possession of a doll and the daughter starts thinking it's haunted. The parents have a basement where they keep various haunted objects and I think their office was also down there. I remember that across from their house was some kind of lot with the foundation of a house or remnants of a house. The daughter sometimes walks home and befriends a boy that lives along the way. It also might be set in the 70s, but I can't remember for sure.

Got any ideas? I wish I could remember more!

Who are Ed and Elaine Warren? Fictional people or real people? I wonder if you should rewrite your header to indicate more plot details than the names of these people, maybe they are household names but they are not familiar to me so they may not be to others.

Ed and Lorraine Warren are paranormal investigators, ghosthunters. A husband-wife team.
