I've only read two books on that list ~ The Sense of an Ending and Atonement.
Sense of an Ending was OK, but I can't imagine why it won a prize and I didn't like Atonement at all.

I read Life of Pi and it was ok, as was Oryx and Crake I read The English Patient and that was much better.
A Fine Balance was really good, as was Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont
I am currently reading Good Behaviour by Molly Keane and am interested in reading works by J G Farrell, Doris Lessing, I am reading July's People by Nadine Gordmer in November 2018 and St. Urbain's Horseman in march 2018
William Trevor is a good author

I am with you on that. I tend to be very suspicious of prize winners or books that have a huge buzz, as I'm usually disappointed in the ones I read.
