Joi (missjoious) | 3970 comments We all know and love The Rosie Project. Some of us loved, and some of us hated The Rosie Effect- now here is the next by Simsion-how will it shape up? I've got to hand it to him, he knows how to write a love story. For the first two thirds of the book, I was absolutely hooked- thought this was going to be at least 4 stars if not 5. Then the weirdness started, I started to hate all the characters, I thought every motive, decision, and thought process was stupid. And here we are at the end meddling between 2-3 stars.

20 years ago, Adam and Angelina were the perfect duo. They had their paths cross in their 20's with a whirlwind of romance, emotion, and lust over the course of a few months. Then the fling ended, and now they're in their 40's and she gets in touch with him after all these years. Again, all this part of the book was great.

The good- There are great musical references, song choices that represent feelings, I love the way that musicality is woven into the characters and the book itself. I loved the will they/won't they play and banter. Then they decided to meet up- and the book turned. The bad- The last third of the book where you just say WTF to everything every character is doing. Then you start hating the characters. Then you say wtf to the ending. So here I am- at 2.5 stars, rounding up on goodreads because I'm feeling generous in the Holiday Spirit.

Amy | 12914 comments I took this off my TBR as soon as I saw lady Linda's reaction. I think you're not alone in your estimation.
