From a series of books of a female college student that works for or interns for a detective. The book contains the plot line of a murderer that can change face shape and skin color because of apparently two real medical conditions that are very unlikely to occur in one person. I also recall that the murder would cut out and eat the hearts of his victims. He was undetected for a long time because witness would think he was black in one murder or another ethnicity in another because of how he was able to change his face shape (bone structure/ shape of his nose) and skin color.
