This story is a story of an alien invasion through the view of a teenage girl, Cassie, who goes on a rescue for her brother, Sammy, from the enemy. Cassie is a survivor of an alien invasion of Earth who has made the world a wasteland through series of plague waves. She has to find a new way to survive a lot. She finds most of the things she needs from abandoned stores, dodging drones who will eliminate her if she’s spotted. She can't trust anyone she doesn't know before the invasion because she can't tell if there humans or aliens that look like humans. After the third wave of the plague carried by birds killed her mom, her dad, brother and her went to find a place to camp out/live. Her brother is taken by the military to save and protect him. The fourth wave hit and they realize that it's snipers and he dad dies in front of her. She knows now seeing her dad die in front of her, she needs to find her brother. I would rate this book 3 stars because it was a good book if you love adventure, but it got really boring at some points.
