There ar..."
Not too many and not too few, I guess you have set the perfect goal Richard! I find your focus on learning very admirable. Myself I couldn’t go without my fictional books! I just love to immerse myself into a whole other world and lives. I do try to read as much as I can in English (I’m Dutch myself) so as to try and expand my vocabulary and get better at reading and writing English. So there’s a bit of learning for me too, even when reading fiction.
I wish you the best of luck with your goal Richard!
Indeed I also tend to read fictional literature with the aim to improve my vocabulary, I am from Venezuela but living in the UK, now my home. True that the English used in such books, vocabulary and expression, is more everyday in nature and hence more useful for every day communication.
BTW, went to Amsterdam a few years ago and loved it... loved the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum museums... but did find 'riders' rather aggressive... would love a canal boat home.
Best regards Susy... wees voorzichtig :)

Cool!
Thank you, will do :)

There are many things that I want to do, that I want to learn, that I want to improve, re-learn, etc... the list is truly endless and I fear there won't be enough hours, enough days, enough years to do it all... hence my favourite film, GroundHog Day, wouldn't it be nice to have all the time necessary to truly master all the things you want to master?
At the moment I will just be happy to learn enough to get me by on the various subjects that I aspire to learn more about... to be more productive, more efficient, more effective... and hopefully little by little add layers to the various bones of my skeletal map.
For the moment I want to learn more about: (1) learning; (2) happiness; (3) programming; (4) maths & stats; (5) cryptography; (6) bitcoin; (7) Service Management; (8) MS Excel & Data Science; (9) Computer Science & Technology; (10) Photography; (11) Games; (12) Sewing & Garment Making; (13) Drawing and Watercolour... I shall leave on 13 as the unlucky number for many, lucky for few... possibly unrealistic... one more: (14) Vocabulary... ok (15) General Knowledge and also keen on (16) Electricity & Electronics... I could easily add more... and of course master of none... no time to read fiction just for the sake of reading... there has to be a key aim: learning.
