You've made it through your first month! What are you going to read in February?

Marie Patlan (amandamariegh) | 2 comments In February, I'm hoping to read the A Darker Shade of Magic trilogy! I'm hoping to get started as soon as I'm done reading the books for the Cybils finalist judging round (I'm a judge!). I can't wait!

Kris Ivy | 7 comments For February, The Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy, and the Ruined series. I also plan to start two long running series. Pendragon series (MacHale) and Black Dagger Brotherhood series (Ward). High expectations to finish all of that, but I'm buckling down.

Irina (iresden) I'm planning to read the Monsters of Verity duology! I've already started This Savage Song and it's quite intriguing.

Sarah Merrill (suchmeow) Well since I did so great the first month, I think my plan is to finish Windwitch and Sightwitch instead of picking up something new. This challenge might end up being a series every two months for me instead, haha.

Lucy I want to finish Windwitch as well since I have it out of the library anyway but I also want to get round to the Code Name Verity series. I read Code Name Verity but I want to read Rose Under Fire and The Pearl Thief.

Kris Ivy | 7 comments So, I couldn't finish two of my series. Pendragon's were unnecessarily long and that's sad coming from me since I like long books. It was bogged down with detail, but the actual development was so slight that it wasn't worth the overload of detail. Also, the Daughter of Smoke & Bone series was dropped due to the characters not being engaging enough. The story was interesting, but you have to go through with some not too interesting characters. Bleh, so sad I couldn't get into those.

Good news is that the Brotherhood is looking pretty good. Also, the Ruined books are really doing it for me. A female that falls in love but doesn't lose her personality or purpose. Surely that's impossible (sarcastically said). Not only that, she remembers to keep her people before herself. How refreshing.

Nicely done! How did you find the second one? I still haven't managed to get a hold of a copy of it.
