Omg.. The wasp literally looked at me for like... 20 seconds and turned the opposite way and flew away. I feel like that's it's way of telling me That I'm not good enough for it.
Not that I'm complaining. If the thing stung me, I'd probably have an allergic reaction.

I once had a swarm of lovebugs following me, and as soon as I turned around I kid you not a dog bigger than me jumped through the cloud and started growling like he was gonna do something. The whole time I'm sitting there with a WTF face, and the dog just turns and takes off after the swarm.

Well, that puts a bullet in the idea's brain.
I saw it in a marvel/blue exorcist crossover fanfiction, and I thought it was just awesome. Basically, Rin, as the son of the devil, is in a position of complete power over the Rider, and whenever Rin draws his sword or uses his powers, the Rider is forced to surface and obey Rin
Although Rin wouldn't have total control, the Ride would at least have an instinct to do as ordered, and would have to surface.
It's a good idea tbh. Someone just needs to claim rin.
Although, considering the Rider's backstory, Mephisto might hate him.

Familiar: Usually it’s a large dog-like creature, but it changes into a flaming skeleton with Jon.
Personality: Jon has a split personality. There’s Jon, and then there’s the Rider.
Jon is typically a reclusive individual. He doesn’t go out of his way to be social and he’s not comfortable with large groups. He’s a fan of hack n slash video games and doesn’t really work well with people who talk a lot.
The Rider, on the other hand, is nuts! The rider always has some kind of quip prepared and lives for the purpose of searing the souls of the damned.
History: Jon sold his soul in exchange for his mother’s life. As a result, he became the Rider. He’s fled for most of his life, trying to evade various athorities while at the same time trying to keep the Rider under control. He wound up at True Cross in an effort to find some control over the Rider.
Other: Whenever one of the children of Satan uses their powers, Jon’s Rider is forced to come out and has a basic instinct to do as ordered by said child of Satan.
Rider’s Abilities:
Penance Stare- In Rider form, Jon can burn and then consume the souls of the damned by looking them in the eyes. However this can be prevented if the person is able to break eye contact, like being yanked out of dodge.
Rider’s Mount- Whatever the Rider chooses to drive, be it motorbike, horse, bus or crane, it will burst into flame and develop a skeletal motif.
Rider’s Weapon- Anything the Rider picks as a weapon, usually his chain, will burst into flame and develop the same skeletal motif as the Rider’s Mount.
Rider’s Durability- In Rider form, Jon is significantly more durable than in his human form, the breakage of his bones being one of the only ways to successfully damage him. Even if you break his skeleton, as long as he can put the bones back in place before returning to human form he will be completely fine.
Rider’s Pet- A side effect of Jon’s Curse, his familiar undergoes the same transformation he does.
