Week Three - Part 2 Chapter 10 - Part 3 Chapter 2

This post is to discuss anything that happens through Part 3 Chapter 2

I fell a bit behind in the reading so I didn't comment on Week Two. To be honest, this book isn't doing it for me. I had never read Agatha Christie before so I didn't really know what to expect, and frankly, I'm finding the book rather dull. I thought the chapters in Part Two were quite redundant; it was chapter after chapter of Poirot speaking to each passenger one-by-one and asking them largely the same questions. (Have you heard of the Armstrong murders? Do you some a cigar or cigarette? Do you own a red kimono? Etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.) And the beginning of Part 3 hasn't started much more promisingly for me: a lot of Poirot looking over lists about passengers and evidence, all stuff that we already know. It appears Part 3 is going to be Poirot and his sidekicks doing a lot of thinking now. I'm hopeful the ending will be more satisfying, but so far, not my favorite...
