It’s the perfect time of year to curl up with a good book (if only our weather would get just a little bit colder!) and it’s time for another reading wrap up!
This month I read…
Turtles All the Way Down by John Green- I love John Green, so I had to jump on reading his newest book. This book was definitely not what I expected based on the back of the book description given, although I’m not entirely sure what I expected. I did enjoy the story though. The way anxiety was portrayed was very realistic and well done. I also enjoyed the reflective ending, although I would have liked to see a little more character development throughout. Not my favorite John Green book, but a good nonetheless.
Euphoria by Lily King- This was an interesting read. It had some fascinating insight on humanity and human relationships. However, I did find it hard to get into and didn’t really enjoy it until after discussing it with book club. That was definitely interesting about this book as well, as this was the case with most of our members. We all seemed to like the book better after our discussion!
The Penultimate Peril by Lemony Snicket- Almost done with this reread and it’s kind of making me sad. I enjoyed rereading them so much. I loved in this one all the characters from the other books making reappearances along with the new characters that are added.
