Thank you to Nicole all the rest who remembered to add your books to the PBT bookshelf. And not only that, but most of you remembered to add the shelf, so thank you! I appreciate it. It makes my work go quicker!

(And it has me hoping that you remember to add them for other challenges, like our annual ones where I don't go through myself and add them! Even though I do add a shelf, so it's there for people to add to. :-) )

And in case anyone is curious, in 2017 for Fall Flurry of Holidays, we read 82 books! That's 10 more than was read in 2016 for the challenge.

Christmas Days: 12 Stories and 12 Feasts for 12 Days by Jeanette Winterson

Physically beautiful book? Check
Beautiful writing? Check
The meaning of Christmas? Check
Fun recipes in between stories? Check

Magical Realism? Check- this book clearly wasn't what I thought it was going in.
Ghosts? Check---wait why are there ghosts?
Talking dogs? Check--- wtf there's a talking dog?

12 stories of Christmas, with 12 recipes and their stories in between. Some of them were five star. Some of them were 0 star. I never really felt involved in any of them. Partly because I'm not a huge short story person I think, but partly because they ended pretty abruptly. I wasn't super into the recipes and personal stories in between. I've never Jeanette Winterson before, so I didn't really relate to her stories or connections to her other works. Altogether fine, and a fun read. but nothing amazing, and the bad stories honestly outweighed the amazing ones for me.
