As long as there are 2 members who are interested in reading it, it’ll be an “official “ buddy read. Mary Pat just hasn’t put up all the threads, so we’ll just have to wait a little longer (but can already start reading of course ).

Susy (susysstories) Mary Pat wrote: "FYI, I still have more may buddy reads to post! I was unable to finish last night but I will get the rest of them up today!"

Hi Mary Pat, do you know when the rest of the threads for the buddy reads will be set up? Thank you so much ☺️

message 553: by Cendaquenta (new)

Cendaquenta | 307 comments I don't mean to be rude, but where are the other threads...? I'm really looking forward to starting Circe and feel like I'm being held back now.

Eirelyn (ladyeirelyn) | 1244 comments Savannah, the master list. :D

Susy (susysstories) Kristin wrote: "Also, is Circe going to be a May-June read? I think about half of the people preferred a May start da..."

Yes, I think that would be a good idea. Some people were unable to start/finish in May.

message 556: by Scott (new)

Scott Flicker | 1191 comments I think Mary Pat will have to prune the May list as some of the series threads aren't getting much participation.

message 557: by [deleted user] (new)

Savannah, Allie, I‘m about 40% through with Miss Peregrine‘s already. Would you want me to wait until the thread is up? I could skip to another read in between.

message 558: by Allison (new)

Allison | 491 comments That’s up to you, Lea! I did borrow the book from my library but I probably won’t get a chance to start it until the weekend :/

message 559: by [deleted user] (new)

I decided to start reading another book and will wait for both of you at least until the thread is up as I don’t want to have finished this book until then. :)

message 560: by Radhika (new)

Radhika For May, I would like to read Cinder. Anyone in?

I'd like to participate in May's buddy read of Circe when that thread goes up."

I have added you to the list of participants for Circe! And here is a link to the first post in this thread (here) for more information about Buddy Reads!

message 566: by Mary Pat (new)

Mary Pat | 2186 comments My sincerest apologies to all for the extended delay in getting May's buddy reads up and running! A family matter arose last minute and I had to get on a plane and do a bunch of stuff and I lost track of time!

May threads are now up! I have reviewed posts in all of the May threads and here. Please let me know if I missed anything! I will do my best to avoid such a delay in the future!

Mani (manisbookcorner) | 138 comments I'm waiting for The Amber Spyglass from local library, even the audiobooks have a long waiting list at the library. Been told I should get a copy of either the book or audiobook by 11th May. So will join in with the buddy read for it as soon as I get a copy. :)

Yes, I thought it might be due to some emergency. You’re always very punctual and quick to reply so something had to be up. So please don’t worry about it, I just hope you’re alright Mary Pat.
And thanks for putting up all the threads despite everything!

Mary Pat | 2186 comments The second and third place books for the May 2018 group read were Wonder and Sing, Unburied, Sing respectively. Is anyone interested in reading either or both of these books as a Buddy Read? As long as two or more people are interested, I will create a thread.

I want to reread Song of Achilles post-Circe anyway, so sure, I'll join. Depending on whether I can locate my copy of the book.
