Dan in AZ | 2960 comments 1. Terradox, Craig Falconer. The world is in chaos with a virtual coup, a world government and a nasty corporation. The only safe place is a space station off Venus - except for a planet that doesn't exist but pops up right in our solar system. Don't worry - all is explained in the end. 4

2. The Survivor's Club, some author. The most interesting question in the whole plot was never addressed at all. 3

3. Shaman Pass, Stan Jones. Old curses are tied up with current burglaries and murder. Half-Eskimo trooper investigates in Alaska. Almost all the characters are Eskimos, and that POV is interesting. 4Plus

4. The Detachment, Barry Eisler. John Rain is back at it, and as usual people fall like tenpins. But in the end Rain makes a friend and splits $100,000,000 four ways. Not a bad day's work. 4Plus

5. Two Kinds of Truth, Michael Connelly. Bosch is really getting crotchety, but he's still sharp. 4Plus

6. Dying to Live, Michael Stanley. Detective Kubu of the Botswana police investigates the death of a Bushman who turns out to be even older than he looks, and that's what causes the big stir. 4
