This was a decently written mystery. The characters could have been better developed, and the dialogue could have been a lot less simplistic. However, for being part of a series, I found that the book stood on its own well. Personally, I felt that the plot was a bit disjointed (view spoiler) .

This was a great mystery with well developed main characters and one of the most unique premises I've seen in a while. This novel was both funny and thrilling at the same time. I loved this novel and look forward to reading more of the series.

I absolutely devoured this sweet Christian (understated with it though) historical romance. The characters were well portrayed, and I found the plot to be interesting. I learned a little about old-fashioned lighthouse keepers as well. I will definitely read more of this series.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

This was a fun and sweet Christian historical romance. The writing style was fairly good, and the characters were well drawn. I thought the "long lost aunt or cousin" scenario was quite an amusing element of the plot, and I loved how the reality of that situation showed the depth of character in our hero. I will likely continue with the series.

This novel was the concluding piece of the story that began in The Inheritance and continued in The Cottage. Therefore, this novel was also a well written and quite interesting Christian historical fiction novel with well developed characters. I enjoyed learning more about the personal histories of many of the characters and seeing several of them either start to change or continue to change and grow throughout the course of the book. (view spoiler) Overall, it was good ending to a great series, and it as well as its predecessors has earned a place on my favorites' list.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

This was the third and last novel of the Belle Meade series, which is meant to be read alongside the author's Belmont series (that I have already finished this year) because they are all set near post Civil War Nashville, Tennessee with the characters occasionally crossing over for cameo appearances in books they aren't featured in; however, this was the only Belle Meade novel where a character from the Belmont series didn't appear at all. Anyway, this novel was just as good as the first two novels of the series. It was a complex, sweet story, and I enjoyed the characters as they grew and changed. Overall, it was a satisfying conclusion to the Belle Meade novels.

This is the 14th novel in the Mitford series. There are even more pieces of the story told in the points-of-view of Dooley and Lace as well as young Jack, showing that the author's main focus will now be on their little family, which I think will be especially fun. I also loved the point-of-view of Grace Murphy being part of the novel's overall storylines. I really enjoyed this novel and enjoyed seeing how Dooley and Lace's marriage is going and how some other Mitford characters in particular began to grow and change. I'm really glad that we aren't leaving the town of Mitford just yet.
