December 2017 group read: I Let You Go, by Clare Mackintosh

Loved it! I read straight through most of Friday and Saturday night!

1. I do consider this book a mystery. The suspense was good.

2. The different POV's at times were confusing. I had to back track several times, especially when I started to read again after previously stopping.

I finished this book before Christmas but haven't had time to write my review until now. In a nutshell, the book struck me as two different stories. I was reading along, barely able to maintain my interest and 'Pow!' it totally changed. The characters changed, the subject changed, even the plot changed.

I loved this book! the first plot twist shocked me & I really picked up the speed. I enjoyed the depth of information about the characters (although I agree we met some more than others) & even the minutia of their lives that made the whole story feel so real. Didn't love the ending, but did wonder about a part 2 set up. Glad I picked this one up as my first read in 2018!

I know the group read is over, but I finally got around to finishing the book! The beginning was a tad slow but it was an enjoyable read.

I see other people have liked other books by this author - so I shall look out for more.
