I think I would have enjoyed this book more if I had waited for this BR. I was so enthusiastic after reading "every breath you take" but felt a little bit down by this one. I also went for 3 stars.
And I agree with you, Danny was the best touch :-)

I do remember you and Karen had a rough start with September, Josy !!
And yes, I'm no sure it would be OK for you, Simone. Unless you want some eye-rolling time. I mean, I really like this author, but sometimes, it's a tad too much for me ;)

Christelle @ Josy and Simone : have sweet dreams and good luck for the coming week.

@Karen : if you pop up, well, enjoy your day.

**big hugs** to all of you <3

Karen Good morning ladies, I'm glad you got to finish your buddy read. Sounds like the buddy read was awesome as always and the book was ok. I'm still going to read it first chance I get. But I'll just keep my expectations low, lol!!! Hopefully I'll be around a little more tomorrow we pretty well got the Christmas decorations up and just have a couple of bins to put back into storage and little bit of tidying but all it all it was a successful day here. Sweet dreams and I'll chat with you tomorrow.

I don't even feel inclined to write a review... :( Like Josy, I don't have to say much about the book and I don't know where to start. LOL. Maybe later... ;-)

Oh God!!! If it was almost a tad too much for you -you, who banned the ch...-word out of your vocabulary- what will I say then???? ;-)

Yay, glad your day was a success!!! It's good to keep your expectations down to a minimum, so maybe -I hope!- you will enjoy it much more than we did. As for me, I liked the stalker trope in the previous book much more. The mystery part here was okay, but nothing to write home about and the rest of the story didn't do much to make up for it. To sum it up, I liked it, but didn't love it. ;-)

Christelle Simone wrote: "CI don't even feel inclined to write a review... :( Like Josy, I don't have to say much about the book and I don't know where to start. LOL. Maybe later... ;-) "

Hello Simone :-)
As it's not an Arc, you don't have a write anything you don't feel :-)
I was not very inspired for this one either. I much more enjoyed Every breath you take so it was easier. Just like you, I liked this one but didn't love it.
As for September, I really had a good time with it. I even pushed Karen and Josy to give it a try. It's very different from the 2 you read regarding the storyline (no mystery around it, it's relationship based), but the writing style is the same, of course.

End of this conversation : you have to work, and I need to prepare my massage session for this evening : didn't do it yesterday, oups...my client might not be very happy with me if I keep reading and chatting all day, LOL !!

Have a nice week and will chat with you all on GR.
Cheers :-)

Yeah, I know... It's just when it's an BR I like to write at least something. I've written a short one, but without my heart really in it. Well, except for the BR thing. ;-)

Honest to God, I don't know if I already have September, I have to check first, but I will definitely read the sample before I either buy it or start with it. ;-)

LOL. I hope you get your preparation ready in time and I'm sure your client will enjoy it very much. :)

Have a nice day/week and we will talk soon, I'm sure of it. :)

YAY!! Thumbs up for finishing your Christmas decoration :)

It will be really interesting to see what you think of this book! I really can't guess if you will like it or not. I hope you will find the time soon to read it :)

Karen Yeah now that the decorating's done it's on to wrapping and shipping prezzies for mailing.

I'm hoping maybe during the holidays or at least sometime in January I really want to read this one and Hush and we have our Tal Bauer sorta' buddy read to get started as well...so many books so little time.

Oh yes! So many books, so little time!
After reading Hush, I kinda want to read the Enemy of the State series rather sooner than later. But I don't think I will have the time until January or February. We also have our audio BR for A Little Life on the list, lol! And I also have the Diversion series to read! Oh, did you hear that she's thinking of releasing this series in audio format?

What??? Did I hear audio format for Diversion?????

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - Oh, btw, did you all notice that September (Pride and Joy #1) by Robert Winter and Every Breath You Take (Nights at Mata Hari #1) by Robert Winter got a new cover? Seems like the author likes this one here... *facepalm*

It seems that at this point she's only thinking about it.

Yes, I did notice and I was wondering why Lying Eyes wasn't the first book to get a new cover.

Well, at least she's thinking about it and won't dismiss it from the start. :)

By the way, why are you here and not reading your ARC?? Not that I mind, lol! Just curious :)

Yeah, remember what Greg said how long it takes to record one. 10 weeks, right? With 6 books that would be more than a year... :(

Don't ask. LOL. Everytime I leave GR there's a new comment somewhere... See? The next one! *facepalm*

Yes :/ And that's when the finances are sorted out which seems to be the problem with this series. Not that I'm surprised. Kaje Harper said "good narrators run $250-350+ in this genre - the sky's the limit" (per hour of course) and that "a book hour takes a narrator 4-6 hours to complete, plus editing time". So it's a lot of money you need to pay in advance - especially if you are self-published.

Yesh, Lori, Greg and Andrew talked about it in the audiobook panel at EuroPrideCon.
And I know that Rinda and Jocelynn are not sure either if there will be audiobooks for the Unbreakable Bonds series because of the costs. :(

Jamie, Kyle, Alexei, and Sean are waiting for you!! How can you resist such a temptation?
Now don't you dare answer this and enjoy your book ;)
