Trinity If you have any questions regarding the Read-A-Thon please post them below!

C. | 1 comments For Read-A-Thons, do you read the same book because that's what I thought but I wanted to make sure. And what books will be reading together if we do read the same book (because I only read NA or Adult).

During the read-a-thon, you can read as many books as you please! There is no specific books you would have to read, you can read whatever you like!

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Do I need to start new books for this or can I read something I have in progress already?

message 5: by Trinity (new)

Trinity Yes, you can use your current reads. But once I start adding challenges in the future, then it would have to be started and finished when the read-a-thon starts. You can still use the pages you read that day if it is a current read before the read-a-thon starts in your reading list but not in the challenge.

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

OK thank you :)

message 7: by Jessica (new)

Jessica Will there be reading prompts/challenges or should we just pick any books to read during the readathon?

message 8: by Trinity (new)

Trinity For now you can ready any book you want, but I will be adding challenges in the future.

message 9: by Erika (new)

Erika Just looking at some of the readathons and the timing on the "24" hour ones actually make them 48 hours

Jonel You're right Erika. We'll have to take a peek at that. Thanks.

message 12: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth I'd got a question.what if the book you pick out for the week long a thon is over like say 800 or more pages and you read just that book ,does it still count for hole week long a thon or should we just have different books for each of the week long a thon

message 13: by Jonel (new)

Jonel Every page counts. It doesn't matter if you read it in a day, it takes you all week, or if you don't finish it. You count what you've read.

message 14: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Ok thinks for answering my question for me

message 15: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Does anyone know if we're having a week read a thon for this month and if so when

Thinks because I had fun the last time,it actually helped me cut though my TBR list for last month, but then I end up more so I could have some books to read for the rest of February,by the 28th of February I had actually read 32 books that was on my TBR.

message 18: by Jonel (new)

Jonel That's awesome Elizabeth!

BooksByDano | 4 comments Can i make a suggestion for future week read-a-thons not be on the 1st week of the month as #AYearAThon do theirs that week

message 20: by BooksByDano (new)

BooksByDano | 4 comments Also just incase you didn't know. Your April 24hr read-a-thon is on the same day as the Dewey's 24hr read-a-thon

message 21: by Jonel (new)

Jonel Our dates for the year are all already set. Of course, you can always count your totals towards both read-a-thons if you'd like

I'm going to read as much as I can, from whatever strikes my fancy at the time. I find that I read faster that way

Hi Danya;

When I'm trying to figure out how many pages I've read from my kindle or kobo I find the total page count from Goodreads or Amazon and the % read from my ereader and I do the math.

For example, if I've read 10% of a 365 page book, that's 36.5 pages.

I hope this helps.

They're up now. Turns out they didn't magically post themselves so I'm running a little behind.

Vivian Wolkoff | 169 comments I had signed up for the Saturday, July 30th, 2016, read-a-thon but I won't be able to do it. It's a work thing. How do I go about it? Do I delete my post on the read-a-thon thread?

Hey Vivian. Sorry I just noticed your post now. Goodreads doesn't seem to want to give notifications to me lately.

If you've signed up for a read-a-thon and can't participate, don't worry. You can either leave your post and not enter books, or change it to say that you're no longer able to participate. If you delete the post it can changes the links that Shaunessay uses. :)

Rebecca | 11 comments I signed up for the weekend read-a-thon but I unexpectedly had to leave for about 3 hours but I'm back and would like to still participate. Is it alright to continue. Reading again now.

Absolutely, it's very casual, so no need to report in or anything, do what you need to do and chat in the thread if you'd like.

I'll post it closer to the start time, I believe the last day for the current one is March 19th, so probably that week before hand.

Adrianna [SypherLily] (sypherlily) | 276 comments Is the weeklong december readathon thread missing? I cant seem to find it :(

message 36: by Leane (new)

Leane According to the schedule it was supposed to be on the 1st. I didn’t see anything for it either. My favorite RAT is the week long ones!

message 37: by Karen (new)

Karen (karinlib) | 2108 comments I agree with you Leane, they are my favorite RATs as well.

Me too! Perhaps people are too busy preparing for Christmas...

With apologies to our moderators, I’ve posted a pop-up readathon for 5-9 December. Everyone welcome to join in for whatever time you can spare. Adrianna, Leane, Karen - I hope this is better than missing the whole week, please join me!

message 39: by Karen (new)

Karen (karinlib) | 2108 comments I don't want to be a pest, but will there be a week long read-a-thon? Just wondering.
