Ainmire smiled a bit as he stood there in the middle of the trees. He groaned, really not wanting to be there at that moment when he knew the Royals where some where else with no protection. He kicked a stump, the stump ripping from the ground and launching into another tree before he ran his hands through his dark hair. "This is stupid," he grumbled under his breath before he looked around and then sat down on another stump that was still intact. He licked his lips, groaning a bit as he ran his thumb over his throat.
((you have a bit of an Image error there by the way))
Ash growled as she yanked her knife back out of the tree. "Oh, shut up." she snapped at him, striding back to her original place. "Atleast we have a break." Obeying orders was not something Ash did well. Sure, she was loyal to the Royals. She'd lay down her life for them. But having to obey anyone just rubbed her the wrong way. She didn't even really like the Lady, if she was honest with herself. But it was her duty to protect them, and she would.
Ainmire glared at her for a few moments and then sighed. "Yea I guess your right but still, it doesn't feel right to me, it's fishy," he commented with a glare at her. HE held out his hand then for her knife, "Here can I see that for a second?" he asked Ash as his thumb rubbed his throat a bit more again. He looked over her, his red eye seeming to stare at her harder then his brown one as he waited to see if she'd give him the knife.
Ashby glared at him for a moment, then passed it over with a grumble. She crossed her arms and leaned against a tree, pulling out another knife from the waistband of her black skinny jeans and used the tip to pick some mud out from under her fingernails. It was a comfort thing, not a girly thing. After about three seconds of just standing there, she cursed and hurled her knife across the clearing, back into the same tree. "Dammit! I'm starving!" she snarled.
Ainmire took the knife from her and started carving out a piece of wood he had picked up from the ground. He grumbled a bit as he nicked his finger and then sucked on his thumb lightly, cursing his bad luck. He laughed a bit at Ash's anger. "You're telling me?" he asked her as he rubbed his throat with his thumb again. "I haven't eaten anything since yesterday, and I have a condition!" he said loudly before rolling of the log and laying on the ground, throwing the knife and then catching it in the air with his hands before it landed knife side down on him.
Ash had no real pity as she stalked back over to yank her knife from the tree. "Oh? It's been a few weeks for me. Even for us that's not go-" she paused slightly. 'Us' was obviously referring to her species- Dhampirs, who could go longer. Her nose twitched slightly as she smelled his coppery blood, and she growled and she shook her head to clear it. "Even your blood is smelling alright right about now." she snapped, not looking at all happy about that.
((nope I don't mind))
Ainmire sat up rather quickly when she said that. He lifted his lip in a small snarl as he put a hand over his neck, the knife still flying through the air, "Well you can have any," he snapped. He wasn't exactly taken off guard by being referred to a bit as food but it still gave him a bit of uneasiness. "And you can out last me in blood drinking," he added as the knife came down and he caught it between his thumb and index finger. That's when he tossed the blade over to her, completely forgetting he had nicked himself on it earlier.

"You make it sound like I want yours." Ash snarled at him, her lip curling in disgust. She caught the knife as a reflex and shuddered slightly as she smelled the blood on it and her eyes flashed red, but she forced herself to look away. She knew there was a good chance she could take him if she wanted to- starving Dhampir versus slightly hungry vamp? No problem. But she sure as hell didn't want to. "You keep it." she forced out, tossing it back over so it impaled in the ground by his hand.

Alex walked through the forest, feeling very angry and his throat burning from thirst. He had gotten into another argument with his teacher about something though he didn't remember what not did he care to remember. He was just angry and needed to hunt especially since he knew he, an starving dhampire, could be easily taken down by an ordinary vampire or another dhampire though he sure wasn't going to go down without an fight if he did have to fight.
((okay, be back on soon pwease))
Ainmire winced when the knife landed by his hand and then couldn't help but grin a little. "Now that's a little rude," he said as he picked up the knife and rubbed it off before standing up and rubbing the dirt off himself. He sighed then and then sniffed the air, catching scent of another Dhampire close by. His lip curled at the smell and he snarled a bit. "Smells like we have a newby coming this way, looks like you could have lunch," he teased as he jumped on top of the stump and crossed his arms.

"I'm pretty sure you'd find it more rude if the blood on that knife started to smell better and better and... Well, connect the dots yourself." Ash smiled dangerously, then brightened a fraction. "Really?" she purred, looking around in excitement. She stood next to him, and an almost feral grin crossed her beautiful face as she caught the scent. Her fangs lowered and her eyes flashed red as she looked toward alex.

Animire glanced at her and then stepped away from her and off the stump, leaning against the tree. He sighed then and yawned. "Depends on if you where rough about it," he grumbled under his breath as he watched her glance around. He rubbed his throat with his thumb again and then swallowed, pitying himself because he didn't have the freedom of feeding on Dhampires or other Vampires. He sighed then and put his arms behind his head as he leaned back on the tree. "Have fun, don't get killed," he stated as he stayed leaning there. It wasn't like she had asked for any kind of help or anything, and he felt like saving his energy.
Ashby gave him a look that said she thought he was an idiot. "Really, Ainmire? You've worked beside me for a long time. You thing some Fledgling is going to be the one to take me down?" she snorted slightly and shook her head, then stalked over over to the other Dhampir, still smirking. Dhampir and Vampire blood weren't her favorite, but she needed something to hold her over until she could get a Feeder.

Ainmire shook his head. "I didn't say anything did I?" he questioned as he saw her disappear into the brush and trees. He pushed his thumb against the bottom of his throat again and then leaned against the tree more before becoming bored and setting his nails into the tree. He shot up the tree with a burst of speed and then climbed across the limbs, following Ash tell he saw the other Dhampire and Ash. He guessed they both saw each other by now and sighed, sitting on the branch far above them and watching them. He guessed he'd get some entertainment from this.
Ash sighed slightly as she shook her head. "You're really going to try to do that?" she rolled her eyes, leaning against the tree. "Trust me. You won't win. So don't even try. I am absolutely starving, so there's a good chance I'll lose my temper very, very quickly." she warned him, a slight snarl entering her voice. She flexed her fingers and her sharp nails in anticipation, her eyes bright red.

Ainmire couldn't help but laugh at the two below him as he stayed sitting on the limb high above them. Both of them hungry and have a little fit talk, how cute. He sighed then and leaned forward so he was laying on the branch high above them. Even with the strength of the boy being new turned, or how ever it was for Dhampires he'd still have to go against one of the High Guard Captions, plus she had the advantage of age and strategy. He decided to stay out of it for now as he simply lounged above them.
"Oh, so you really think you stand a chance against the captain of the High Guard?" Ash laughed, brushing a loose strand of her chocolate hair from her face in an unnervingly normal movement. Her eyes narrowed as she glared at him, crossing her arms. "I'd like to see you try." she snarled, all hints of laughter or amusement gone from her voice.

Ainmire couldn't help but raise an eye brow at the surprised strength and then intently purred at the scene below him. He scoffed a bit in surprise at the first attack by the male Dhampire, a wise but also unwise move, especially against Ash.
As he pushed her backwards, Ash lashed out with her foot, connecting with his jaw before she turned the push into a backwards flip, thanks to experience and Dhampir agility. It didn't effect her, it only pissed her off. She hissed at him, and she could smell the thin trickle of blood running from his nose due to her kick. That did not help his case at all, and she advanced on him, growling. "Oh, you just made this a lot harder on yourself."

Ash lunged forward, tripped him, and pinned him on his back. Her knee planted on his chest and her holding his hands above his head, she glares sown at him, snarling. "You can't be that stupid." she snapped at him, rolling her eyes. "Luckily for you, a fight livened up all this boredom. Unluckily for you, I'm just hungrier. And unless you can convince Ainmire to donate some blood...." she raised an eyebrow pointedly.
Ainmire couldn't help put chuckle at the two of them fighting and rolled so his back was against the branch, growing bored of them fighting. He sighed quietly to himself as he listened to the snarls and growls under him of the two fighting. Their blood only made his stomach turn, the smell of Dhampire blood making him feel a bit sickly. He glanced down at them and sighed, wondering how long it would take for them to stop fighting or one of them to feed of the other. he actually found himself rooting a bit for the kid out of pity.

Ash smirked slightly, though she shook her head. "You know, I expected more from you. I thought you'd be more fun. Ah, well..." she sighed faintly and shrugged, but Queen of No Emotions felt a bit bad for him. He just looked so... Dejected. Besides, Dhampir blood was not fun. She sighed and bit her lip- cursing slightly as it drew blood, she had forgotten about her fangs- and after a brief mental war, she sighed and stood, releasing him. "You're lucky." she snapped at him testily. But now she was hungrier then before, and tired. She staggered slightly, leaning against the tree. "Now. Running would probably be a good thing for you." she advised, scraping her chocolate hair back from her face.

Ainmire was astonished when Ash got up and moved away from her prey. He chuckled to himself before he grabbed the tree branch and then let go, falling two stories at least to the ground and landing next to Ash. He couldn't help the twisted smile on his face ash he shook his head. "Oh Ash, poor poor Ash," he said with a hearty laugh as he rubbed his neck with his hand. "I didn't expect mercy and pity from the likes of you," he stated and then looked over her. He glanced at the Dhampire male and cocked his head a little. "What's your name kid?" he asked but then he noticed the Dhampire male was already gone and he smelled human.
"I am way more experienced then you, and I can and will shred you." Ashby snapped at Ainmire, baring her fangs at him. She wasn't about to go after the humans right now. All humans were slaves now, and she wouldn't steal another's slaves. She slid down to the ground so she was sitting on it, leaning against the tree. Sure, the fight had been fun. But it had drained her pretty fast with her current hunger.

Ainmire grumbled and his stomach growled a little. He sighed then and then knelt down in front of her. "Right now I don't think you are capable of ripping me to shreds, don't fool yourself," he grumbled as he stayed crouching down in front of her. "I know I won't taste good but, all you had to do was ask and promise not to rip my arm off if you where that hungry," he said as he pulled his jacket of and set it aside before rolling up his sleeve and revealing his arm. "So what do you say?" he asked her.
"Yeah? Well you told me that, quote, 'I couldn't have any.' So excuse me for not asking." Ash snapped at him, baring her fangs slightly. She leaned forward a fraction, but then stopped, studying him carefully. She was an untrusting person. Who would like her enough to give up blood? Heck, who would like her at all? Ashby was not a very nice person, and she was perfectly aware of the fact. "Why would you offer?" she asked him, red tinged gaze studying his face.

Ainmire sighed a he looked over Ash's face and saw her hesitation. "I was flirting when I said that," he said and then shook his head at her a small grin coming to his face. "Even after being your partner for as many years as we have been, you still don't trust me," he said almost complaining. He sighed though then and held out his arm to her again. "I'm doing it cause I trust you enough to watch my back if we are ever in a fight," he stated simply and gave her a hard stare.
Ash snorted slightly. "I don't trust anyone. Don't take it personally." she said dryly. She sighed as she looked at him, raking her chocolate hair away from her face so she wouldn't have to just sit there in complete stillness. "You're going to shove it down my throat no matter what I say, aren't you?" she chuckled slightly. "Ok. So, my blood lust is at about a thousand and twenty two out of ten, so.... You're going to have to push me back. Or I will end up draining you completely and you will die. Which, despite all evidence to the contrary, I do not want." she warned him.

Ainmire chuckled at her and then just held out his arm to her again closer. "Don't worry I'll make sure you don't," he chuckled. Then he waited for a moment before using the knife he had given her and made a small slit on his arm, blood forming rather quickly on his arm. "I'm not asking you to trust me either," he stated quickly.
Ash looked at him silently for a long moment, almost solemn. "Yes, you are. Because if I don't have enough control, no amount of pushing is going to work on me." she said softly. And on that optimistic note, she lunged forward. Her long, dagger-like fangs were already extended, and she sank them into his arm right over the cut. Any hint of chocolate brown was gone from her eyes, and they were completely red. She sighed slightly as she felt his blood hit her mouth. Vampire wasn't the best, but at this point, anything would do.

Ainmire heard the noise just as she bit into his arm and her head snapped back to look at her, his one brown eye turning red just like his other eye before turning back to brown. His crouched turned to him sitting in his knees in front of her, his eyes focused on her as he counted his breath and pulse in his mind. His other hand pushed the knife into his pocket before his hand went to his neck and he felt the pulse of blood there as well. Being a pure vampire he guessed his blood at least tased a bit better then most vampire's blood but he wasn't exactly sure. He sighed a bit after about five minutes had passed by and his pulse was dangerously low. He looked at her, guessing in the five minutes she had drank deeper then normally because of her hunger. His arm flexed and without thinking or flinching he put his free hand against her face and wrenched his arm away from her, tearing skin as he stumbled backwards. Slowly the bite healed over and he stood up, his cushion fuzzy for a few moments as he leaned against a tree. "Did you get enough?" he asked Ash. ((Going to bed, see you in the morning peeps))
Ash snarled as he pushed her back, baring her now bloodstained fangs, but with her hunger more satiated, his voice brought her back easily enough. A chocolate brown that was impossible to describe as 'warm' replaced the feral red in her eyes. She shook her head slightly to clear it and ran her tongue over her teeth, cleaning off the blood before her fangs slid back and out of sight. She took a deep breath, leaning against the tree again. She nodded after a moment, wiping blood off her mouth with the back of her hand. "I'll be good for now." she decided, getting to her own feet. "You weren't as metallic tasting as most vampires are. If that's any comfort." she laughed slightly. After a pause in whih she cracked all her knuckles plus her neck, she asked, softer, "You gonna be ok? I can volunteer a bit of my own." she offered, studying him.
