The Perks of Being a Wallflower
question
main conclusion or the main point of the story?

as i've finished the book, the main point or the summative conclusion of the story is still not clear to me..
I think it's what Sam said, near the end, about Charlie's "participation" but i'm not sure..

Hi Kim:
It's been some time since I've read this, but as I recall, a few of the main points might be:
Charlie's recovery over losing his friend.
His "connection" with his new group, and learning how to chase his dreams rather than just going along with everyone else and their desires.
He finally has a breakdown and has to deal with his suppressed trauma. Then realizes he can count on his friends to help him through it.
As you mentioned, he starts "participating" more in life rather than just reading about it.
Does that seem close?
