Great! I'm still on The Scourge. Probably won't finish until tomorrow. Does anyone have anything good planned for the weekend? This is my last weekend before I go back to work. But I'm such a homebody, I just want to relax.
I think we are planning on being homebodies ourselves. I am taking my youngest to see a concert at a mall on Sunday. I'm just so happy I got my car back finally! It's been in the shop for 3 days & I've been losing my mind!
I'm back from France. It was great!I've finished rereading Need. I'm now reading Captivate and I've good hopes to finish it tonight :)
Thanks Shannon!@Angel, how was France?
@Group--We have a few more hours until the posting deadline. Please let me know if there are any books that you finish between now and then!
@Lilac--Were you able to finish your book this week?
No, sorry. We had unexpected visitors so I've been more busy than I thought I'd be. But I'm going to be able to finish The Catcher in the Rye today because it's so short and that will work for a few lettersC - title
S - author J.D. Salinger
France was great! even if the weather was bad half of the time :p the best part was les jardins de Valloires, these gardens were so beautiful ! too bad I couldn't visit the abbey. My borther and sister didn't want to and the visit was to long to do it alone... But I had a great time anyway :)
I've finished Captivate. But I see that you'll have to use the C for Lilac's book. Luckily one of the main characters' name is Nick, so the book is ok of the N :)
Finished Just One DropStarting Out of the Dark same characters but also works as an O. Not sure if I can finish before the deadline though -- tons going on today, but I'll see what I can do
Thanks everyone!! Great job this week!! @Shannon, I'll check back before I post to see if you were able to finish your book... But no worries if you don't. I'm sure we can fit it in for next week if we need to :)
Woo Hoo!! 2 more books! And I also finished The Scourge. We did really great this week everyone! Considering everything that went on this week, we still managed to surpass our week 1 score and we almost did as well as last week. We were only 1 book away! I think that's pretty awesome :) :)
I think my personal plan for next week is to read the shortest books I have that fit the criteria. That way I can fit more in. Unfortunately I return to work on Thursday, so I'm going to try to read as much as possible before then!
That's what I did this week. Short & simple. However, I'm going to start Cast in Flame (400+). Hopefully it'll fit whatever we get next, but I've been patiently waiting since it downloaded Tues. ;)
Four I's. That's just mean. Ah well, I have the genre covered with the 3rd book in the Accursed King's series, The Poisoned Crown.
I didn't even snap that we had so many I's lol. I guess I'm still glad we didn't get "humorous". All those o's and u's! And I still wouldn't want "horror" either...o's and r's over and over again lol
Jaclyn, if your tempting fate lands us with horror twice in a row, or some other such craziness I'm not even going to be mad. I'm just going to point and laugh, and then pull up calibre and read through all of my o books. XD

But points-wise, it looks like we only have 1 week after this one (the top team is only about 600 points away from 2,000), so we should be ok. I'll cross my fingers that we get a good genre for the last one!!
And we are still 6th ! That's a good position, I think. But 20 points more and would have been in the top 3. It would be awesome of we could manage that :)I'm reading Endure. It could cover the C (author= Carrie Jones), the N (series= Need), A or I (for the characters Astley and Issie)
I'm currently reading Madame Tussaud: A Novel of the French Revolution and it fits a number of letters and is also Historical Fiction.Characters:
A: Anna Grosholtz
C: Curtius
H: Henri Charles
I: Isabel Grosholtz
L: Lucile
R: Rose Bertin
T: Thomas Jefferson
This week I'll definitely finish Fall of Giants, which also works as historical fiction. Yet again the huge cast of characters mean that it can work for any letter too. It's a shame the game will be over so soon though.H: Lady Hermia
I: Ilya Kozlov
S: Spirya
T: Tommy Griffiths
O: Olga Vyalov
R: Rosa Hellman
I: Ilya Kozlov
C: Cameron Dewar
A: Arthur Llywelyn
L: Lev Peshkov
F: title - Fall of Giants
I: Ilya Kozlov
C: Cameron Dewar
T: Tommy Griffiths
I: Ilya Kozlov
O: Olga Vyalov
N: Nina
Great guys! It looks like we have a lot of flexibility with all those books! For now I'm using them to cover our I's (just one left!), but we can always move things around :)

Yes, I think we did well! Even though we are 6th, we are soooclose points-wise!

Series-A Chintz 'n China Mystery
MC-Emerald O'Brien
Mercy Blade
Author-Faith Hunter
Night Vision
Series-Indigo Court
Character-Cicely
Character-Rhiannon
Title-Night Vision
Hellforged
Title-Hellforged
Author-Nancy Holzner
I'm glad we stayed at 6th, and even happier we are so close points wise. It seems there will be no catching the top 2, but we could definitely finish in the top 5!I do need to forewarn y'all, I'm going to be crazy busy this week, so I don't think I'll be able to read 19 books again. I am going to aim for about 10-12, but that may be out of reach.
I'm going to start Shadow Sight MC is Ivy Granger. Books are short, and with the lead helping with the I, hopefully they'll be decent reads and I can help out with all these dang I's we've been saddled with. ;)
@Angel--great!! You've helped get us off to a good start! @Shannon--that would be a big help. Then we can move the other books elsewhere, since they each fit many letters :)
I just finished Fallen Into You. It sucked lol. But at least it was short. Now I need to read something good so I'm gonna finish my re-read of Prisoner of Azkaban, which I already started. I love it so much that it should be a short read :)

That's awesome Lizz...any of those will help us. Just let me know which one(s) you finish :)
Still working on Shadow Sight but I hate it, so I'm doing it in spurts.Meanwhile, I finished The Recruit: Book One. Title works for an R -- characters that work: Hannah, Richard, Selena, Leanne, Tyler, Chen, & Isabelle
If you'd rather not finish Shadow Night, we can use Isabel from The Recruit, and we'd have our I's covered for the 1st spell out. I wouldn't want you to force yourself to read something bad, when you can read something you enjoy instead...
Maybe move it to the 2nd read through? Good idea using Isabelle -- I started the 2nd book & she won't be in that one.I'll finish it, I've already read 1/2 of it, and it won't take too long -- don't want to waste that hour I already spent ;)
Okay, I made the changes :)I have a book downloading on Tuesday that we can use for one of the O's. It's not a short book (500 pages), but it's one I've been waiting for and I know it will be good, so I should be able to read it in about 2 days. Unless we can find other O's. I still would like to stick to my initial plan of reading shorter books. So far I've managed 1/day :)
Finished The Recruit: Book TwoTitle works for an R. Characters -- Hannah, Chen, Selena, Richard, Natalie

I can cover the O's if you like :) I have two books by Jana Oliver. they have been on my shelves for a while. It's time I read them :p these are Forsaken and Forbidden
