Stupid weather is stupid.

I have to say that flip-flops are a very strange thing to have on BOGOF.

as in buy one shoe, get a second one free (because we all like something for nothing)
hadnt realised they meant PAIR!!!!!
I can laugh at myself thankfully....
it took me longer to get the shaun the sheep gag from Wallace and Gromit

You are mad.
Love from everyone on Goodreads."
ha, not the first time I have heard this... I like to think of it as "special"
:)

However I was lured into the bright shiny Apple store and found myself outside again with an iPad in hand and considerably less money in my bank account.
I think it's a good but through I can still read books, and more importantly comic books look great on it :)

Michael - no pictures of me on my precious iPad please, worried they might crack the screen, or possibly scare young children.

Oh no! Is it cold at the moment? I'm coming home for a visit next week. I'm really excited, but not looking forward to being chilled to the bone. (After three years in the tropics, I have gone soft....)
Guess I'll have to pack for all four seasons (as usual!)

Good luck with the exam, Nick:)

Just discovered I can download books from Project Gutenberg onto my kindle, alsorts of weird books that are out of print or hard to find.
Found another second-hand bookshop in Leicester, books everywhere and pictures often hanging from shelves making it hard to look at some books. However the owner also mentioned that the basement is twice the size and if I give them a list of books they'll be able to check down there for me. Less than 100 books on the 1001 books to read list left.

Helen I think I need at least 25 to get a pass. I am not sure though.

Anyone planning on seeing the Olympic torch?"
Saw it yesterday by accident while stuck in traffic waiting for it to come up the road at Trowbridge. Biggest farce out, looked more like a giant Mr Whippy icecream to me and wasn't even real! What a waste in my opinion.

Anyone planning on seeing the Olympic torch?"
I am hoping to see it in Wolverhampton on June 30th!

I doubt it it hasn't got a real flame!

It's actually going right past my flat on 1st June but tbh couldn't be less interested.

I've been lured to see the torch with the promise of a weather spoons breakfast!! 7am Saturday morning what fool organised that!!

Then on to Barry Island for an early morning breakfast :)

Wot! Not a fan of the Jubilympics? :))

Have decorated my porch and my big doll is dressed to kill in little Union Jack socks, sunglasses and baseball cap, and red white and blue rugby shirt! She looks very cool!

Liking the doll image Lynne.
Looking forward to Saturday as my brass band is off 'overseas' to Sommerset to play at a Jubillee party.

We haven't got a lot of Jubilee bunting around here, but I do like it too. It's like Christmas lights - I love to see the trees sparkling over Christmas and always feel sorry when they're turned off.

That sounds pretty good, Dave. Hope you have a great time. We haven't got anything planned really, but will probably have the family round for eats, drinks and general merry-making:)

It means I have to keep turning the heating on and off as the temperature changes.
