Anyways, I get hurt all the time! My friends and I have actually made it a joke, because I've get hurt at least once per year in a way that I can't really do anything, and this year (surprisingly) all I got was a kick to the shin

message 52: by [deleted user] (new)

My feet are a mess without injuries. . . And I had a back brace for a couple years because I have scoliosis.

I'm a geek because all of my shirts are fandom or science related, I talk about Doctor Who and Percy Jackson every day with my friends. I'm going to be a Dalek or a TARDIS for Halloween. I have a ton of Harry Potter stuff. I have 3 cardboard cut outs: 1 of Harry Potter, 1 of The 10th Doctor, and 1 of The 11th Doctor. I have posters for Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Hunger Games, and Minecraft all over my room, I ran out of room on my book shelves, I'm shooting a stop motion picture video using my cardboard cut outs, I play video games all the time, I read all the time, I see book to movie adaptions within the week they come out, and if you are still reading this I am surprised, and I could go on and on

message 79: by Isabelle Jade (new)

Isabelle Jade (isabellejade) Let me just tell you that people who have Tenth Doctor Cardboard cut outs win at life;) Also have you heard of Tessa Netting? You should look her up on Youtube- she has a 'Geek With Me channel and she's a really nice person!!! And SHE has a Tennant Cut Out too:-)

message 81: by [deleted user] (new)

I have two full sized bookcases. I have 1/2 a bookshelf for Tolkien, 3/4 one for Star Wars, and 1/2 one for HP. I have Billie Piper's autograph. I also am liable to have eight-ish tabs of Google Drive open.

message 82: by gabbu (new)

gabbu I'm not sure what qualifies as geeky, but:
I've worn glasses since 1st grade
started reading at age 3-4; was reading aloud the second I figured out how (my kindergarten teacher said "It's just like reading out loud, but without moving your lips"); before then I was reading by moving my lips without sound.

I am very clumsy, awkward, and tall. I'm kinda like a 'gentle giant', I guess

On several occasions, I have corrected my teachers and adults in general, and been correct

I have connected all but the area code in my phone number to a fandom reference

I am in advanced classes at school & have never gotten less than an A on my report card

I enjoy making connections to people's birthdays and their personalities, as well as personalities and phone numbers

Those last 3 paragraphs are so true for me XD

message 84: by [deleted user] (new)

A lot of it is true for me. Except phone numbers are remembered through math and patterns, and I could do addition before I was three. I'm also taking two foreign languages, have a textbook on Phoenician and Ancient Greek. . . .I also started forcing my mum to write stories down when I was 3 or 4. I only started reading myself until later though.

I get guys flirting with me all the time. I think it's partially because I flaunt the fact I'm a geek. I have no interest in guys (or girls) romantically though.

I have issues with superheroes, honestly.

message 86: by [deleted user] (new)

I've always been regarded as weird and not been looked up to for it. Then poof! I wear a cloak and people suddenly respect me for being weird. It's strange.

message 87: by [deleted user] (new)

Hopefully. You never know. I was expecting people to avoid me because of the cloak, but then the opposite sort of happened.

Everyone thought I was weird in elementary school, then in Junior High I met people who were just as weird as me. No one thought of anyone as weird in that group because we all knew we were :P now they're all my best friends.

message 89: by [deleted user] (new)

I've almost always (starting in 3rd grade) found people as strange as I. I mean, the popular people wouldn't talk to me and looked at me like I was an alien. They still look at me like I've gone mental. Then again, I sort of encourage that one a little, partially because it's what people expect.

message 92: by gabbu (new)

gabbu I've always been a bit of an oddball. I went to what was considered a 'smart school' in elementary, but I was one of the only remotely intelligent kids there. People often looked to me for answers, homework help, and to be their project partner (probably thinking I'd do all the work. Joke was on them!). My parents both love reading; somehow this interest skipped 2/3 kids and ended up full-force with me. In 6th grade I moved on to another 'smart school' expecting the same thing. Boy, was I wrong! I met 2 awesome geeky-type people (and several semi-geeks) that made great friends, and introduced me to the art of the fangirl. It's nice having people to talk to that aren't internet strangers! (not that you guys aren't great...)

message 93: by gabbu (new)

gabbu Yay for monologues!

message 94: by Isabelle Jade (new)

Isabelle Jade (isabellejade) :-):-) Geeks Rule!

message 95: by Liam (new)

Liam O'Donnell (liamodonnell) I guess I'm a geek because I'd rather fix my computer than watch a hockey game. I'd rather roll d20s than play catch. And give me some classic sci-fi with outrageous technology and aliens and I'm there.

All this and much, much more . . .

message 96: by AG (new)

AG Machado I wear glasses and like geeky tv shows and movies. And I like to read

message 97: by [deleted user] (new)

The only sport I do is swimming. I love algebra, and most science. I read Lord of the Rings when I was 11 (oh yes). At school, people call me smart, but I don't really like it because I'm not that good in math or language or french. Also, my life revolves around books and Doctor Who. And I play Minecraft.

That's how old I was when I first read LotR. I was 12 when I first read the Silmarillion.

message 99: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, me too. The Silmarillion is really good!

message 100: by [deleted user] (new)

The Silmarillion was awesome! Maedhros or Maglor?
