Yeah-it's horrible. But what happens as a whole throughout the rest of the series is so worth it. I swear.You girls all know how psycho I am about those kinds of deaths-and this Is my top three fav series of all time. So I think you will all be ok, eventually, as well.

Glad you're enjoying, Troy! But poor manchee's balls lol. I'm listening to this one in Audio. It's my first audio book. The narrator (Todd) does a good job with all the characters, he even barks out manchee's thoughts.
And he does the noise with this eery echo effect. It's pretty cool!

I've read book one, so I know what ya mean, Troy! ;) It's funny to see how annoyed Todd gets with manchee...like he would an obnoxious little brother following him around. What do you think about the writing? I know the grammar bothered some people, but its supposed to represent Todd's youth plus his limited education. I love that ... When the writing gives a solid reflection of the character.
H, can't wait to see what u think!! Audio is taking a bit to get used to, but it's a nice change! :)
No...you're good...he said twixt! It does mean between. Betwixt. haha...his speech totally grew on me. But he has this surprising wisdom that contradicts his lack of proper grammar. It works well!
I'll say I've only read one chapter and so far the Grammer hasn't bothered me a ton but I don't love it either! lol
Oh and I so want to try audio. my husband does those bc he's in car a lot for work but I never am without landon!

Kris! I knooooow...his grammar the first time is hard t get used to but when it starts rolling I adore it-it's SO DIFFERENT AND REFRESHING!

Now, I'm going to be a SUPER awesome person and offer my services RIGHT UP FRONT-There is a horrid, horrid tragedy.
IF you want to know the tragedy and who it involves, I will spoiler below so you can know going in. I'll do the spoilers in sequence of: name (spoiler one), What happens (spoiler two), details on what happened (spoiler three)

3) PLEASE do not read if you aren't ready to know. It will rip your heart out. (view spoiler)[The girl that Todd meets when he leaves his hometown has been stolen by the bad guy-they [Todd and Manchee] are saving her. Todd has to make a choice if he saves Viola alone, leaving Manchee behind, or if they all die. He has to choose himself and Viola. Manchee, heartwrenchingly, calls out for Todd in his doggy voice, as he is being held by bad man. Bad man snaps his neck. The end of Manchee. (hide spoiler)] Told ya.
I was crying typing that. So, my suggestion, if you want to know, is to skip that-if not, you are braver than I.
