Anywho, I'm Sammie. *waves* I'm a wife, mother, and eventual ruler of the not-quite-free world. I live in the US with my offspring, my partner in crime, three cats that have accepted me as their human, and three dogs that I'm not sure have figured out yet that I'm their human.
I'm a writer, also, and I'm actually just finishing the second-to-last draft (hopefully) of my novel and will begin pitching it in January, so fingers crossed that I can trick some poor, unsuspecting agent into taking it on. xD
I used to read all the time, but I got so busy in adult things that I guess I forgot how important reading was, so I've been trying to change that this year (and hopefully will continue with it next year). I've got a new Kindle, an ever-growing to-be-read pile in the library in my house, and I'm ready for 2018!
Nice to meet you, Sammie! I am the OTHER Sam of this book club. Actually, one of the other Sams. XD
I am crossing my fingers for you with the writing adventure!! That sounds incredible! It definitely takes a lot of dedication to publish a novel and I am just so excited for you. Keep us posted on how the pitch goes!!! I might need to order a signed copy of your book XD What genre would you classify your novel?
Looking forward to helping out with getting back into the swing of reading. :)

I'm Lusie and I am from the Netherlands. I love reading, cooking, and baking. My favorite genres are thrillers, fantasy and YA fantasy.

Welcome Sammie and Lusie!

Hey Lusie! It has been a while since we chatted!! How are you?

I’m Allie from Michigan. Looking forward to being involved here! This year was not the greatest reading year ever and I’m hoping being involved in a few groups changes things going into 2018!

I’m partial to the Classics, Historial Fiction, Mysteries, Thrillers and Cozy Mysteries. I will read Non Fiction if I’m interested in the subject and some YA if the characters aren’t too silly lol.
I’m not into Romance, Horror or SciFi.
How about you??
*Wdit: I read your intro post so you don’t have to type them all over again lol.

Welcome Allie!
I only love soms classics like

I do love Mysteries and Thrillers as well.

I’m well, thanks :)
I’ve read

I love the writing style of Daphne du Maurier.
GWTW is a very thick book, but it is worth it! I loved it even though the book is hardly uplifting. Most of it is sad, but so well written!

Every year I say this is the year but maybe 2018 will be the year for GWTW...

I hope so. It's so good! I devoured the book in 5 days...it was just so hard to put down.
Gone with the Wind and Rebecca are two of my favorites! I love those ones! :) I agree with Lusie -- Once you start GWTW, it is very hard to put down.

Magic Breaks by Ilona Andrews [24-dec-2017] ★★★★

I like this series :)

@Lusie I have not read many books by Ilona Andrews, but I have had many people recommend her books to me. I think that is one of the authors I will try to pick up in 2018.
@Elizabeth I feel the same way about reading more of a variety. Looking forward to it! :)

FYI -- Ashley and Sammie have left Bookwarts. Have no fear! More people will be sorted here soon. :)

Welcome, Grace! I love Sims! I think my favorite part about being under the weather is being able to play this game a lot. XD
Do you two have Sims 4 Cats and Dogs? What do you think of it so far? I feel like my game has been super duper glitchy since that pack. Still love it though XD
Also, Elizabeth -- I have died twice in the Nancy Drew game I am currently playing. This is junior detective mode! :D :D So bad!

Lol I just noticed steam has the really old ND games and I started playing Treasure in the Royal Tower. It’s one of my favorites! I was squished by an elevator last night though haha. They just announced that Midnight in Salem will be released in Spring of 2019 btw! It’s a ways away but it’s nice to know the company is moving forward. It will have a new game engine and new voice actor for Nancy.
I don’t have cats and dogs yet! The last one I bought was vampires and I haven’t even tried it out yet.

Oh I’m sorry....hopefully books and Goodreads can help you forget and give you some moments of peace.
Welcome all newbies :)

@Elizabeth A new voice actor for Nancy!? Innnntteresting! I wonder how close it will be. The original voice for Nancy gets stuck in my head a lot. Just like the other day...I forgot to put the garbage bin liner back after Zech took out the garbage. When I went to throw something away, I couldn't help but think, "Can't check that off yet!". Maybe I play too many video games. XD
@Melani You Are a Badass sounds like the perfect book right now. Lol! I am so sorry you are going through these ups and downs right now. I second Elizabeth -- I hope it all goes smoothly as it can. We are always here for chatting! Real life gets in the way with reading a lot, but I hope being a part of this group helps. :)

Bye bye bye... :( Julio and Mutt are no longer a part of Bookwarts! Have no fear, more people will be sorted into this common room!
