Chelsea | 10 comments They do that sometimes for pre-orders of their original pieces (I know Dispatcher and West Cork followed the same pattern). I was on today for something else and just happened to notice this as well. SCORE!

It’s too bad you can’t lend audiobooks to other Audible accounts. For my family members I just log them in as me, but I’d be more than happy to lend out my Austen audiobooks if it were an option!

I saw that Penguin-Random House put out a short list on their blog of their audiobooks that were inspired by P&P. Thought I'd share the link so you could check them out: http://www.penguinrandomhouseaudio.co...

Anji | 291 comments In addition to the recent full cast dramatisation of Sense and Sensibility, Audible have just brought out one of Emma. It still has Emma Thompson as the narrator and also features Joanne Froggatt of Downton fame. Got both on my upcoming playlist. If they're any near as good as last year's Northanger Abbey, we're in for a couple of treats!

I'm so sorry Chelsea, and everyone else. I'm still not terribly well and my brain is full of fog at the moment! It's only Emma that's the new dramatisation, I'm afraid, and it's my memory that's at fault. The new version Sense and Sensibility is the one that Kirk has kindly posted a link to and it's a straightforward performance by Rosamund Pike (Jane Bennet from P&P 2005). She did a performance of P&P for Audible a couple of years ago which was very good, so I'm expecting good things from this one, too.

Other than an odd Mrs Jennings...an English Katharine Hepburn???...I enjoyed this one as much as her P&P narration.

Emma Thompson is....Emma Thompson! Lol...she is the most excellent narrator. The actress who plays Emma Woodhouse sounds likes Romola Garai!!!(i.e. the best Emma ever in 2009 BBC). The actor who plays Mr. Knightley sounds like Jeremy Northam...Mr Knightley 1995. And Mrs Weston(Joanne Froggatt) sounds like Anna Bates. :)

Those two are next up on my playlist, Kirk. Glad to see you rate them highly. I'm intrigues by your assessment of Mrs. Jennings in S&S!

Probably not the same book for the other Audibles, but maybe...

Howdy all!

I have an extra Audible code for The Exile: Kitty Bennet and the Belle Epoque by Don Jacobson.

This is a REVIEW opportunity where you would need to leave a review here and at Audible/Amazon if you accepted. You would need to leave the review in a timely fashion.

Let me know if you are interested. First come first served! :)

Anji | 291 comments As Kirk did a while ago, I'd like to give a shout out for Emma: An Audible Original Drama Emma An Audible Original Drama by Jane Austen . As with their version of Northanger Abbey, Emma Thompson is wonderful as the narrator. The rest of the cast is pretty awesome, too!
