Lark of The Bookwyrm's Hoard (lark_bookwyrmshoard) | 35 comments Just curious -- who has the authority to update an author page with their date of death, since obviously the author can't do it? I'm asking because Joan Hess died this week (11/23/17.) The news got out to her family and author friends, and spread on Facebook; it has now been confirmed by one of her children on her FB page, but there's been no public obituary yet that I know of.

However, Joan Hess did not claim her profile so I've made the changes, including tense.

(For future reference:) If a Goodreads Author dies, only Support can make those changes.

Appointed agents who already were responsible for managing an Author's profile may also make such changes.
