That sounds like an interesting book Barb!!! Thanks for the update :)

I finished #14, Indiana with
by Julia Buckley, a nice start to a new series.I am off to England for my next book, but will check back when I have returned to the U.S.
And I finished my book for South Dakota. It wasn't as good as I remember the first in the series being, but I've committed to reading the remaining four in the series, so I'm glad it wasn't awful :) Sex and Salmonella (Tory Bauer #2), by Kathleen Taylor, finished 12/18 ★★★
I can take Kentucky with
, The Secret Wisdom of the Earth by Christopher Scotton. I'll be starting it over the break. I think I'm going to listen to it.
I'm going to grab Hawaii & read In the Middle of the Third Planet's Most Wonderful of Oceans: The Life and Times of a Hawaiian Tiki Bar.
Finished my book for Florida. Another fun first-in-series book for kids by Chris Grabenstein, but I like his Mr. Lemoncello books better than this one. Home Sweet Motel (Welcome to Wonderland #1), by Chris Grabenstein, finished 12/23 ★★★.5
He also has a mystery series for kids (some on GR have tagged it "horror"), but that didn't grab me as much as these humorous books. I chose Grabenstein for a "favorite author" task in another challenge, so I've been exploring all of his different series :)
Sorry it took so long to get this one done, I have been sick for the last 3 weeks and the only reading I accomplished was audio books. I plan to catch up on my reading in these next few days.
The Sea Keeper's Daughters Lisa Wingate 12/25/17
I am still plugging away at Maine....I don't know what possessed me to sign up for such a HUGE book (It by Stephen King) but I am enjoying it and making real progress! Hopefully I will finish before the end of the year...5 days to go!
I've finished A Merciful Truth set in Oregon.I can also take Nebraska with Willa Cather's classic novel, O Pioneers!.
Thanks Jillian! I may stick with the show...lol. Especially since I have hundreds more I want to read.
The show is so good. I might have liked the book better if I did not know the characters so well already. I'll try the next book someday but I'm in no rush.
I can take Rhode Island, with Hide Yourself Away, by Mary Jane Clark. When I started reading the book last night, I realized it's set in Newport :)
