I’m looking for a book that is similar. After reading Amy’s post, it made me remember a book I had read with similar characters, but the details she put are not fitting the one I’m looking for.

In my book, the male character was a single father living in a small apartment.

And the heroine took a break from her cooking show and was helping out at a soup kitchen/homeless shelter.

I believe the hero was a cop but I am not positive now.

It is a recent book, written in the last 2-3 years.

Set in I think like San Francisco or somewhere in California or maybe NY.


It was a slow burn romance. The hero did not like and was rude to the heroine for most of the the beginning and middle of the story
