I actually always forget the characters are so young in this book, because they go out drinking all night, protesting, working, etc and the way the narrator reads their parts (especially Theta and Jericho) they sound much older

Project Buffalo is finally getting interesting. I wonder if all of their powers are the result of experiments or if there are some people that are born with Diviner powers they wanted to copy, since there are some characters that are older than others. When Bill said he was only like 37 years old 🤯... I'm starting to sympathize with him now. And I'm still really hoping we get all of Theta's story in this book instead of having to wait until the next book.

When they mentioned clowns I panicked for a moment, not going to lie. I don't like clowns and the way the audiobook narrator reads I was worried I'd have to skip over it lol

@Farren - Right? Most of them don't have actual parents, or at least not ones they keep in touch with, and the ones that do, their parents are too busy to have anything to do with their kids apparently.

So I read the entire second half in one night, and uh... I have no words. I am legitimately struggling to come up with words right now, this may be the best book I've read all year/possibly ever?

I've spent the past month reading series finales and this book shook me more than all of those finales combined. I was so sure that they would manage to, against all odds, pull off some last second miracle using Memphis' healing powers to save Mabel (I figured that Arthur was doomed) but nope. Wow, just... Wow.

Also Uncle Will nooooo! As much as I don't agree with his actions, it's so awful that he died without having a chance to reconcile with Evie and the others.

I'm still incredibly confused about what's going on the all the actual Diviners and King of Crows stuff, and how it all works. It's very cool how they integrated the supernatural with science, I'm a big fan of that sort of thing.

I'm definitely gonna need the next 2 months to get over this, I'm so afraid to read the finale now. I will prepare myself for the likely death of one or more of our main cast in the next book 😭 (hide spoiler)]

My library loan ended for the audiobook last night when I was listening to it, at 90%! But the ebook became available so I'll be able to finish it up tomorrow. I feel like so much started happening at once I can't even remember it all
