In addition to posting insights on discussion boards, it would be nice to arrange a regular time that we can discuss books in real time. Those who live in close proximity can meet in person, while others can participate electronically, (e.g., Skype). When is a good time to meet? Let's throw out some suggestions and then choose a regular meeting schedule time through a poll.

Just to start the discussion, I propose that we meet at 7:00 on the first Wednesday of each month. Any other suggestions?

Ian | 2 comments Is that 7:00 Mountain? If so, that should probably work for me although I may be a little late from time to time.

Elysse | 1 comments I could make that time, but I might have to leave early. just throwing Tuesday or Thursday night's out there?

Merikay | 3 comments Wednesday at 7 (9 pm my time) works for me generally. I'm in two other book groups so may not always have time to read each book but will participate as I can.

I can do any of those evenings, though if we could avoid Tuesday that would avoid conflict with BYU Earth Stewardship club meetings.

Will we meet for December, or will the author's presentation be that meeting?

Well it looks like Wednesday is a slightly better day for book group meetings, so let's start with Wednesday. I propose that we meet regularly on the first Wednesday of each month.

That means that our first meeting will discuss The Nature Fix: Why Nature Makes us Happier, Healthier, and More Creative on Wednesday, January 3 at 7:00. I'll find a venue, (probably in Salt Lake City), and announce it later. We should also have some mechanism for people to participate remotely, and I will provide those logistics when I have them.

I will lead this first discussion, but we should rotate responsibilities after that. In general, the person leading the discussion will get to choose the meeting location. If you haven't finished the book yet, you still have seventeen days, so get on it!
