Ramona Mead (ramonamead) | 63 comments A couple I'm considering:

Trail of Tears: The Rise and Fall of the Cherokee Nation by John Ehle
1776 by David McCullough

Kate | 3 comments Started my first book for the challenge!

Hacks by Donna Brazile

I read 1776 last year - interesting, but not exactly what I was expecting. It was exclusively about the battles of the war, but David McCullough's narration of the audiobook was great and it was still pretty compelling.

That sounds interesting for sure, you'll have to let me know what you think!

Lisa | 3 comments I just started reading "Empty Mansions" by Bill Dedman and Paul Clark Newell. It's about the heiress of William Clark's (one of the Copper Kings) fortune. Very intriguing so far!

Dorothy I will definitely have to read the Trail Of Tears. I am intrigued by Native American culture.
As for me, I just read Night by Elie Wiesel, a Holocaust survivor.
