I'm on a few yahoo groups and they've just not passed on any posts over the last couple of days. Is yahoo having problems of some sort. The company certainly isn't communicating to anybody

I haven't had any problems with incoming or outgoing mail. But perhaps you mean the comments boxes?
Or is there something about Yahoo that I don't know anything about?!!
No they're still out there PattiThey're a bit like the old List servers Anna. You send a message to the server and it bounces out to all the members of the group. If anybody replies their replies also bounce out to everybody
Works well for discussions as they come in as email rather than as forums on a web page
Secret squirrel stuff, eh? It's not well advertised is it!I'm not sure I could cope with any more 'groups'. Except... aha... could I bounce my books around?

Oh it's not well advertised because it's been there since the 1990s. :-)
I'm a member of a number, they can be very handy because stuff just drops into your email inbox, saves you wandering about on forums looking for it
it did but the owners were going to keep the yahoo and things goingBut it also has a history of serious data breaches and I wonder if this might be something like that
A week or so ago, Firefox was becoming unusable - everything took forever.I started moving things to Chrome, one at a time, grumbling. And I went back to Firefox for something I needed, and Lo! they announced a new, much faster, version. So sometimes they can't afford to announce because they're not sure.
Other times, things are going to h*ll in the proverbial handbasket because of staff leaving a sinking ship.
