Series name is incorrect

My book series is incorrectly titled 'The Callahan Chronicles' when it should be called 'The Ferryman Chronicles. Can you help, please?

It looks like it's been listed as both; there are cover images here that read "Callahan Chronicles" on the cover- https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... and https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3....

Was at previously known as Ferryman and changed to Callahan? Looking at some edits it looks like you had previously entered it in some title fields as Callahan.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Yes, the series was originally known as The Ferryman Chronicles and I'd like to revert to that name.

I am not happy that the covers that now feature on Goodreads for the first and second books in the trilogy have been changed - they are simply awful compared to the new ones.

What are my options, please? I'm considering closing my Goodreads account altogether and starting again. Apologies for the tone but it's frustrating when I cannot control my own book covers.

Closing your account and starting again won't help. The book records will remain on Goodreads. You can control the covers for new books, but not for ones already published.

Since Goodreads is a database, not a bookstore, GR policy is to keep a record for all editions of a book in the database, including the ones not published anymore. This is so that readers can shelve the editions they own and/or have read. If editions with the same ISBN or ASIN have been published with new covers, those should be added as so-called Alternative Cover Editions.

The editions which were published as part of The Ferryman Chronicles can keep that series name in the title field. The series itself will need to be changed to The Callahan Chronicles, if that is the new title. A note on the name change can be placed on the series page. This can only be done by librarians.

Or, if you decided against the name change and future books will be published under The Ferryman Chronicles again, the series name can be/stay The Ferryman Chronicles, and only the ones with The Callahan Chronicles on the cover will need to have that in the title field.

I did want to add new covers as alternative covers - how do I go about doing that?

You can add a new edition to the books that have new covers, and instead of filling in the ISBN or ASIN field, you note the ISBN or ASIN in the description field. See https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/8...

Alternatively, you can provide the info and a link to the new covers here and a librarian can add them for you. Afterwards, you can make the new edition the default.

I will wait with changing the series name until the new covers have been added, because the newest editons on Goodreads have Callahan on the cover.
