I'd go with Liam Cunningham for Dunworthy, since I don't think he's so old, more like 50ish - but Broadbent would be good also.

I see Emma Thompson as Dr. Mary, but just for some much needed diversity, I'd go with Michelle Yeoh or Sophie Okonedo or Indira Varma - which would probably change whoever played Colin - but I'm not up to speed on child actors aside from the Stranger Things cast :)

I pictured Sian Phillips as Lady Imeyne, but more like she was in I, Claudius

And since Kivrin thinks Father Roche is a cutthroat, I keep seeing Pete Postlethwaite, who can look scary but also deliver the incredibly kind and soulful.

I would love Pete Postlethwaite, but we'd need a time machine since he unfortunately passed away in 2011.

I like Michele's choices. I also think Jeremy Irons would make a good Father Roche.

The modern day sequences were mostly annoying, but I found that they were more tolerable if I inserted the Monty Python guys as main characters. It gives the whole thing a feel of something like "A Fish Called Wanda."
