I agree to a point with Gansey that Adam killed Whelk but Whelk ultimately got himself killed in his madness to wake the lines. I think Gansey is seeing Adam in a different light from his usual meek beaten down self. I also think Gansey's reaction makes sense because I think he believes Whelk's should be held accountable for Noah's death but I don't think he thinks killing him is the way to do it.
