Do you use cinematic techniques in your writing?

If so, which ones do you use? Do you have any book recommendations?

For example, the scene could start with some dialogue but should include a nod to the physical setting and mood set up by the Establishing Shot.

Another example is the Distance/Long Shot that can be used to express vagueness, uncertainty or suspense because the POV character is so far away from the action that they can't see everything.
