"Yes. But we don't really have much time. Maybe if we can stop Hecate from making all the opposite gods, we will have less to fight."
"Zaynah? Whats wrong?" I ask, noticing her nervous nail biting.
"Aw gods. Seriously? So thats 2 clones already? Do you have any readings on Zeus?"
"Are you ok? 3 times the parents equal 3 times the pain."
"Well. This sucks. Our goal is to stop Hecate and her clones plus children, save Olympus, discover extra powers, and darning all that, keep loved ones safe. Well... this should be interesting."
"First things first. Regrouping. Weapondry, clothing, and-" I pause for a quick pit sniff. "Bathing."

Then my face went pale.
"Wait - my mom is Hecate... does that mean..."
As the sun arose the birds chirped at the dawn, the house still quiet. I glanced at the others to see their peaceful faces still fast asleep. I slowly got up and sneaked out of the room. Slipping out the back porch without making a sound, and sat on the patio, watching the sun levitate into the sky. The morning was cool and calm, and I breathed in the fresh air. "Good morning." I whisper to the sun.
I jump up and dash into the house, hearing Zaynah's agonized cries. "Zaynah?" I ask worriedly, seeing her rolling around, her face full of twisted pain. "Zaynah! Its ok! Whats wrong? Is it the poison? Are you hurt? What's wr-" I stop and see what was happening. Zeus had been completely cloned. "Oh no. Zaynah, shh. Calm down. Its ok." I try to sit her up but she collapsed back down.
Zaynah was acting like she was being eaten inside out. I was about to check her pulse when she started shaking and groaning in between screams. I had to cover her mouth gently so she wouldn't wake up the whole neighbor hood. "Zaynah! Its ok! Stop! Your gonna be ok!" I tried to make contact with her wild eyes, and finally caught them. I smiled the best I could, and her jerking stopped for a split second. "Its. O. K." I say. She slowly calms, long enough for me to check her poison wound and her pulse. Pulse was super quickened, which worried me slightly. Her wound seemed to be throbbing green, but it didn't seem any different. Then she started screaming and jerking again.
I shake my head. I put down the dagger, out of Zaynah's reach. "Maj. I need some ice. ASAP!" she dashes to the kitchen and returns with a bag full of ice cubes. I dab it on Zaynah's head with the ice, and she slowly started to calm. But the screaming didn't stop. "Zaynah! Listen to me! Stop screaming and breathe!"
I comb my fingers through Zaynah's hair, her tears soaking my shirt. "Its alright. We can do it together." I whisper in her ear, and she hugs me tighter. I hum an old song my mother sang when I was sad or scared. It seemed to calm Zaynah slightly.
"Zaynah?" I cry as she falls to the floor. Again.
"I'm sorry that I couldn't do more." I drop my head and sigh. "I didn't know how to help you. So I panicked and took you here instead of curing you myself. I'm sorry."
"Because what fun would you be if you were dead?" I smile and look at her.
"No kidding. But we can't go much faster. Your gonna have to hang-" I'm interrupted by claps of thunder and flashes of lightning. The sun was hidden behind dark storm clouds that I would've sworn weren't there a moment ago.

I slowly creep over to her and nudge her hand with my nose. She doesn't stir, but her breathing was steady and her eyes rested beneath her closed lids. It looked like she was out of pain for the first time.
With a start, I realized. "Mae - I know!" I yipped excitedly up at her. She looked down, puzzled. "What do you mean?" "She's out of pain, can't you see? When she's asleep - when she's asleep, her pain is gone! We just need to keep her unconcious until we get to camp!"
Realization crosses Mae's face as I talk.
"But if only I wasn't a stupid WOLF!" I growled, banging my head against the floor, where I was sitting. "If. Only. I. Was. Human!" Each word was punctuated with a head bang, and, looking alarmed, Mae said, "...
"Maybe you should stop. Because you are human. And your gonna hurt yourself." I say in awe, looking at human Ruby. She had morphed back to human and not have realized it.
Zaynah smiled in her sleep, which made me happy.

(There is another PJO role play I made a while ago. You wanna join?)

(Ooh! Ya! And also, Alice made a cool group, if ya want to check it out! It is called Camp Jupiter, and there aren't many members yet, but I joined it and it's really cool!)
(There are several Camp Jupiters... :-P)
Yeperdoodles.
"How much farther do you think we have to go until we hit Camp?"
"How much farther do you think we have to go until we hit Camp?"
"I think somewhere in Ohio."
Zaynah looked better, but not by much. "Do you feel fit to walk?"
"Its ok Zaynah. Your OK." I whisper to her, dragging her across the grass.

"Hurry! Help her! C'mon, faster!"
I kicked the nearby brick wall that was to my right, but regretting it immediately. Hopping on one foot and scowling, I watched Mae and the others taking Zaynah's body away. As the pain subsided, I gingerly set my injured foot down and leaned against the accursed wall, thinking hard. These past few weeks have been mayhem. First the quest, then the whole buisness with the clones of the gods - then Zaynah got hurt. What next? Would someone die? Would Zaynah die? What would happen then? No. She wasn't going to die, and I wasn't going to think about her dying. It just wasn't going to happen.
I straightened up, leaving the wall. I had to get to her. Where was she? Upon glimpsing Mae's red coat, I set off in their direction, determined.
"Zaynah?" I ask her blank expression. She looked like the life was sucked out of her, and her heart wasn't responding. But something still felt... alive in her. "Zaynah, listen to me. I don't know if you can hear me, but if you can, listen very carefully. You have to stay with me here, because we can't move on without you. Your our gateway to success. You can't leave, or... or... Things aren't going to be interesting without you. Just stay, and we can talk, have coffee... You've helped me through so much, now you have to stay alive so I can repay you, by saving you butt a few more times. Zaynah, please. Please. Stay with us." I brushed my hand over her pale face. I tried... I tried so hard not to cry in front of half the camp, but a single tear escaped me. It slided off my face, and splashed onto Zaynah's forehead. I grab Zaynah's limp hand in mine.
"We'll leave you two for some time alone." Chiron said, and her herded the camp away to their previous activities.
The wet little spot where my tear had fell, small, green ivy had crawled up from the floor boards of the big house, and wrapped themselves around the spot.
'Thats... weeeeird.' I thought, realizing I hadn't even summoned the plants. Then they start to glow vibrantly, and the light throbbing, with the same beat as Zaynah's new heart beat, strongly pulsing in her wrist.

"Zaynah!" I shrieked, and looked down at her slowly breathing body.
I took her up in my arms and shook her violently, screaming inaudible words and nearly dislocating poor Zaynah's shoulders, until Mae hurriedly unattached me from Zaynah.
"Ruby, Ruby!" She shouted, finally quieting me. "Calm down, can't you see you're killing her?!"
"I- I'm alright." said a Zaynah hoarsely, and both Mae and I turned, faces radiant.
"Zaynah!" Mae said excitedly.

"Now, what would Daniel say, Z!" I said as soon as Dean had left, the door closing behind him.
"Shh! He'll hear you!" Squealed Mae, aghast.
But Zaynah just reddened and left swiftly for the bathroom.

I wink at Mae, and whisper something. She giggles.
