"Z, stop fidgeting!" I grab her hands and pull her down to sit next to me. "You're not the only on that looks like a girl. I'm missing my combat boots!" I lift my skirts to show a pair of beautiful Louboutin's
"sorry maj, it's just, this reminds me of junior prom with daniel...no...don't look at me like that...we went as friends...just friends." but im not so sure evne to myslef
"MAE! GET YOUR BUT OUT HER QUICKLY!"
"Just a moment!" I shout over the door. "Oh, gods. If only I was a daughter of Aphrodite I could pull these off!" I whisper to myself. I was looking over 6 dresses that were all beautiful blues and greens. "Uh... Gabriela?" I call to my servant. "Do we have any thing more floral?"
"Yes, Ma'am! Here ya go!" shouts back, as she tosses a dress over the door.
"Perfect!" I squeal in delight as I over look the gown. It was a beautiful sea blue strap less gown. It was elegant silk that went down to my ankles. It was a amazing mixture of a Cinderella dress with a modern red carpet look. From the waist up, it was covered in metallic roses and sequins. I slipped it on and twirled around. I forced on my silver 2 inch high heals that were each decorated with a lone rose. I had classic dangle earrings in that were drowned in glitter. It was topped off with a diamond necklace and bracelet. "Ready!" I shout as I walk over to the door. I open it to see 3 beautiful girls in front of me. "Who the heck are you people? Where are my friends?" I joke. I try to walk forward in the heels but I stumble and fall face first. "I'm ok." I grunt as I get up. "Stupid heals." I mutter.

We walk down the hall, where the steward is waiting on us. "You look lovely, ma'ams." He leads us down hallways to a gigantic atrium. There are people waiting on other people, boys standing around looking for girls to escort. We thank the steward, as we walk down the stairs.
we enter a beautiful ball room draped with silk carapent'eiou's . peoepl are dancing and singing and playing and eating and drinking...."gosh...it's like prom again. i pretend to gag
"This is either going to rock our world or end it. With our luck, we better say our good-byes while we can." I whisper. I smile at a passing by servant boy carrying a tray. He looks at me and seems like he is about to faint. "Is there something in my teeth?" I ask the others.
"no there's nothing in you teeth and no...we are not saying goodbye...were going to stick together whatever happens cause we need eachother ok" i say firmly to mae.

"If we don't smile it will look suspicious. To these people, it is a party. Where people have fun. Thus we smile to fit in." I say, nodding to a man in a tuxedo, smiling at him.
"Oh honey, I did not choose this dress just to blend in." I say with a broad smile.
"Well... you know what I mean." I say, worriedly glancing at Maj. 'Honey?' I thought. I gave Zaynah a look that said, "She alright?"
i smile my dazzling smile my white teeth against my dark red lips. one of the young boys in the corner wearing a loose silk suit walks up to me. he bows his head slightly
"hi there let me just say you look beautiful. do you...um..do you want to dance."
i turn to mae and maj and ruby who are giggling. "his accent...its gorgeous i mouth.

I nod vigorously, and Zaynah hears my voice in her head: Go on! Dance! Why go to a fancy ball and not dance? Go on!"
I give her an encouraging nod and shoo her off. She takes the hand of the boy and they walk off to the dance floor. Soon boys of all ages are popping up everywhere asking us to dance. Soon I was being swarmed by boys asking my hand in a dance. "Aw geez." I groan to myself. I look around for help.
I wink at Mae and she is whisked away to the dance floor. I smile to myself as Zaynah, Maj, and Mae are all dancing and smiling. I make my way to the refreshments table and grab a croissant. I then find a small table with two chairs off in a corner and sit down, munching on croissant.
"hi my names Diago"

"a beautiful name for a beautiful girl " he says in his gorgeous accent.
i smile and we continue to dance for some time. when the song ends i excuse myself for a second and walk up to maj and ruby.

I stumble out of a swarm of fancy boys and stagger over to where Ruby was sitting. I slump into the chair across from her and groan. "I. Hate. My. Life." I grunt. I run my fingers through my curly caramel hair. "Why do I have to be so awesome?" I tease. I sit up and smile at Zaynah. "Look who found her Romeo!" I taunted.

I try to muster a fake grin, and sing in a fake joyful tone: "Zaynah and Romeo, sitting in a tree..."
I giggle uncontrollably. Then I snap out of it. "Zaynha, what would Daniel have to say about him?" I say in a dramatic voice.
I try to join in the teasing and fun, but I just can't. "Get a hold of yourself, Ruby!" I mutter to myself.
"What wrong, Ruby?" I ask, worried about her sudden seriousness.
I look up with a start. "What? Huh? Oh, it's nothing." I try to muster up a smile, but fail miserably. Mae was not convinced.
I turn away again, being careful not to look at the hundreds of girls and boys dancing and laughing.
I snigger and say "it's not Romeo ...it's diago" and "daniel...whose daniel?"

Suddenly, a boy comes up, looking a bit nervous. "Um, uh.." He seems to be sweating. Zaynah and Mae look at him, a little too hard. "Uh, I was wondering... Would you dance with me?" He said, turning to me. I looked up in surprise. I looked over in stunned astonishment at Mae and Zaynah.

go i say pushing ruby. i purposely push her hard and she slips. the boy catches her in one long stride and i see ruby giggle. she smiles at me and lets the boy walk her to the centre of the floor where they dance
((it just started in the first movie annabeth had really long black hair, she had short blonde hair now))
Every now and then I shoot glares at Zaynah, but they soon stopped as we began talking."You look great." said the boy."By the way, My name's Michael. I blush, which is very unusual. "Thanks, Michael. I'm Ruby." We danced in silence for a while, then it ended and I glided over to Zaynah, Maj, and Mae.
"I think I'm gonna faint." I say, and collapsed in a chair next to Maj.

we done a slow dance. while later he pulled me to a corner and we spoke in hushed voices.
After Zaynah was whisked away, Micheal came up again. "Dance?" He asked, grinning like an idiot. I took his hand and grinned like an idiot too. As we danced, Michael noticed my eyes. "One blue and one green." He commented. I reddened and looked down. "Yeah." I said dejectedly. "I like it." He added. I looked up and smiled. He smiled too and then said, "I've always wanted different colored eyes, but I had always imagined them as brown and blue, or something totally out there like that. Green and Blue seems perfect. They meld perfectly." I blushed again and said,"Well, I don't like it, they bother me every time I look in the mirror. Everyone used to laugh at me back at cam- uh, school." I internally slapped my forehead for nearly letting slip Camp Half-Blood. But I looked up when Michael said, "I like them. They make you different, beautiful."
After the dance ended, I twirled back to the table and sighed, my head in the clouds. "He's wonderful." I say to no one in particular.

I look at Zaynah dreamily. "He didn't even mind my eyes. He even said he liked them." I sighed again. "Thanks." I added. "For showing me to him. He's wonderful."
"awwww, ruby..maybe me and you can have a joint wedding!"
I awoke with a start. "You're getting married????"
"what no...of course not, im only 15
why who said i was" i say looking bewildered
I settled back down. "Okay good, cause..." I sat up straight again. "That's funny." "What is?" Zaynah asked. "I thought I was about to say..." I can't remember... Something about a quest or something... Eh, it's not important."
