"Hey, Geryon it's in you hair, in your ear scurrying up your body, it might bite you..."
i whisper to ruby to tell the mouse to bite. she does. "Geryon watch out" i laugh just as the mouses teeth sink into his neck like a mini vampire. i snicker uncontrollably.
Geryon is shouting and screaming. He falls from the hedge. I grab the rope from around my waist and throw one side to ruby and hold one myself. I signal at Maj, she kicks Geryons legs from under him. He falls on his back and I fling the rope around his torso. ruby grabs the end at ties it around his legs, i around his arms. with a final tug i safe the knot and Geryon squirms on the floor unable to loosen the ropes hold. Ruby and i laugh at the sight of him. maj jumps down her platform and maj grins.

as we walk we snigger like mad. "did you guys see his..." i break off mid sentence. I stop in my tracks my eyes wide and terrified

I point ahead of me and scream. There was a globe of light upon a a stone pillar about ye high. it had intricate designs etched and words carved in the stone.
and in the light i could see my aunt and uncle strung upon ropes tight by their feet dangling from a branch with fire licking their palms. i could see my younger cousins playing on hill when suddenly the grass turned into ivy and wrapped around their bodies and swallowed them in. and then i saw daniel lying motionless his body limp and fragile. his skin was a blue color, his skin deathly pale. Deathly.
He was lying on a table made of marble bound by writhing snakes. In the light i could see the silver of whips lashing at his chest, his face, his bare arms. i heard his screams, his pain, his agony, screaming for his mother who was dead, screaming for his father who had left him, screaming for me, my name! i ran towards the pillar but ruby grabbed my shirt and pulled me back. i screamed for daniel, for my aunt and uncle and suddenly the scene changed thsi time it wasn't only daniel... Maj, Ruby, Mae were tied up, aunt and uncles names were etched upon a gravestone, my cousins lay dead upon a bed of charcoal. I screamed for them but to no avail. i tried to struggle from rubys grip but her grip was strong.

"d..d..daniel...dead...you guys...tied...tied up...crying in pain...my aunt and uncle...graves." my knees buckled i sobbed into my hands.
"why...why does this keep happening to me...why...why did you not see...see anything?"
"why...why does this keep happening to me...why...why did you not see...see anything?"
"It was an illusion. We didn't see anything. With an illusion, it may cause pain. But whatever you see will not affect anything in the real world. No one is dead. No one is in graves." I say, putting a hand on her back to reassure her.
i recoil at the sudden touch but calm down as soon as i see mae's reassuring smile. i breathe hard and harder then slow and slower. i wipe the tears from my face and stand up. "i" . i coke on my words "i am so sorry. let's go!"
"Ok." I say, a little weird about Zaynah's behavior. I glanced back behind us, then started walking with the group. "How on earth are we suppose to find this snake lady?" I ask.
"i think we need to go back. there was a pillar...there were words on the pillar...i think it's a spell"
"I'm not sure, Zaynah. Weird things are in here, and I think its best we keep moving forward. At first, this place was alright. But now the nature life force is getting weaker by the minute. Like we are getting in a darker and darker cave and soon there will be no light."
"no mae, you think im crazy so something. but im not, im sirious, lets go back. im sure"
"Ok." I say, giving up and shrugging my shoulders. I start trudging back the way we came. We came up to the pillar and inspected the markings.
finally we reach the same pillar and i search my fingers over the words.
Take us to a whole new place
move us from a hororful grace
save us from this devils maze
remove this spell, this devils daze
take me to Edom
take us to Edom
render us speechless and give us our freedom

"What the heck does that mean?" I asked, breaking the silence.

the same tugging sense and we were gone from the darkness. i opened my eyes to a light that was too bright to be fire, or even a bulb. more like light reflecting on diamonds.
((insert the servant who thinks were princesses and puts us in a room where we choose our gowns to attend the mascaraed ball that Medusa snake girl is hosting))

"Hello, ladies." Says a voice a little to our right. We all turn, and I stop myself-and the others- just in time before we all take out our weapons and karate chop this guy.
"Who are you?" I asked warily, keeping my hand on my knife at my belt.

I look down at my clothes. When did I start wearing a dress with matching cloak?
We're ushered into huge suites. Ruby and Zaynah are turned to the left, and Mae with me to the right. Then Mae is also led away into a room. This can't be happening.
"Which dress would you like to wear, ma'am?" the servant girl ask me.
I look up. "I'm sorry, what did you ask?"

I walk back into my room. "Which ones are suitable for tonight?" I ask the servant girl.
"The red velvet one if you want to make an impression, the silver one if you want to blend in, or the royal blue one because it makes your hair look beautiful."
I look at the three dresses she has laying on the bed. "I'll wear the red velvet one."
"Perfect, ma'am."
**
I look at myself in the mirror. I'm beautiful. My black hair is half up, and falling in curls down my back. The ribbon that is braided in is in contrast with my hair, which makes it look even prettier. The red velvet is making my eyes look even brighter blue. I usually hate wearing an strapless dress, but the corset is tight enough that stays put. The huge skirts flow as I walk out of my room. "Let's go."
"got it"
half an hour later we all walk onto the marble path. i am dressed in a magnificent silk and chiffon strapless gown. The front comes down to my calf where the criss-crossing straps of my shoes is visible. the back trails on the floor like a bridal reign. the over dei'gh layer is a make of linen cloth that's soft and runs through my finger like a waterfall. the over layer is a teal blue that's worked with fine silk of silver and beaded with small diamonte's. the top is also worked blue, only a darker turquoise. it's worked with silvery designs small elequents circulating the heart shlave.
on my neck is a simple diamond and topaz necklace the blue and silver perfectly harmonizing with one another and glinting off the light from the chandelier above me. i'm wearing high stilettos with a topaz strap criss-crossing around my bare legs almost like snakes. tiny diamonds are encrusted in the glass heels. my hair is piled high on my head with light curls coming down, the black strange against the olive of my skin. it's clipped with a perfect silver cry'staled and has tiny diamonds pinned around in it.
my eyes, large and blue glimmer against the light and against the black of my eyelashes. my lips are glistening red, light but dark enough to be painted with strawberries...or blood. i smile at maj , mae and ruby all dressed up and say...."well let's go."

(just searched online and found this, this is what im wearing)
My brown hair with slight red in it was hardly changed, just brushed and curled slightly so it had a small wave in it at the bottom. My brown sneakers had been replaced with golden-brown flats and each of my wrists had a golden ribbon around them. I blended in with all the other dancers and women, but my one blue eye and my one green eye still had the warrior glint in them.
(my eyes really are green and blue, but they arent always one and the other, they change colors from green to blue, sometimes a mixture.)

as soon as i speak the words a servant appears and hands us a tray of masks. eachhas its own intricate designs.
i pick up a major'lle mask one i knew thats from columbina that covers only the eyes and shapes around the nose and cheek bones.
the clips are an sapphire shade of blue and the small nanshway diamont'es are encrusted in an iris golden sapphire quence in the eye designs.
"wow," i say "i am freaking out!"

As I attach my mask to the ribbon in my hair, I look at Ruby. "Gold really makes your hair pop." I tell her. "You look beautiful."

(okay, so it all is in one place)
i enter the hall and join maj and ruby
"you guys look amazing"
"i look like a girl...eugh!!!"
