SOLVED. Romance fiction about a Hero who is an author and a heroine who he thinks could be only a side character. [s]

Hi! I am trying to find a book wherein the hero is an author who writes these (possibly dystopian?) novels about this hero (Max, I think) who saves the world. He meets the heroine and instantly deems her as someone who could never be a heroine of her story. Hence, he pens her down as this anti-heroine type character who he think would possibly die in the book soon. However, he soon realizes the strength that belies the heroine and slowly makes her the hero of the story, along with the former hero. Thanks!
