Just wanting to confirm, here's the quote using the bonus word 'LEAF' -
"An oldfashioned hydrangea and a spike-leafed aloe vera..."

Hoping this works as I'm well into the reading...

That wouldn't work, but on a different page it mentions "Leaf". Here's the quote:

"...Willow had made her an elderberry leaf poultice." Page 138

Hope that helps!

Kenzie (kenzier) | 22 comments Hey guys, would "Heart of the Wilderness" by Jannette Oke work for #8 "Winter Garments"? Heart of the Wilderness by Janette Oke or would it work better for #9 "Let it snow?

Also, is it ok to read younger kids chapter books, like the Animal Ark series. They are over 100 pages. Bunny in a Basket (Animal Ark Holiday Special, #11) by Ben M. Baglio I have a lot of those types of books on my book shelf, and I thought "Bunnies in the Basket" might work for the Bonus Point.

Kenzie (kenzier) | 22 comments Oh, and do we have to do the review? Does it not count towards our point if we don't?

Kenzie (kenzier) | 22 comments Would Because of Mr. Terupt (Mr. Terupt, #1) by Rob Buyea work for #10 "Playing in the snow"? The teacher in the book gets a concussion after being hit by an ice packed snowball, during a snowball fight.

Also, can I do Colt on Christmas Eve (Animal Ark Holiday Special, #17) by Ben M. Baglio as the BP? The horse is wearing a mistletoe on the ribbon around his neck.

Kenzie (kenzier) | 22 comments Can I do Mr. Terupt Falls Again (Mr. Terupt, #2) by Rob Buyea for round #3, instead of "Colt on Christmas eve"?
The kids in the book go to "Snow Hill School". I would read it for task #9. Its a sequal to "Because of Mr. Terupt" and I prefer reading it to the colt one.

R.A. Would A Question of Honor (Questions of War #1) by Jesseca Wheaton work for #24?

message 82: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (ksnapier) | 705 comments I would like to read the following books, if possible
RND 4 Eaves of Destruction - task 24 - majority of cover is green and it starts with one of the letters in poinsettia

RND 5 Amish Knit Lit Circle: Smicksburg Tales 3
Task 19 a gathering of people at Christmas BONUS - they knit

RND 6 A Miser, A Manger, A Miracle - Task 21 - The title definitely starts with M - but no bonus

RND 7 Colors of Christmas: Two Contemporary Stories -
Celebrate the Hope of Christmas
task 16 - Ornament on the cover

If someone else can get the bonus on #21 I could read A Miser, A Manger, A Miracle for task 22 - the Nativity Scene is on the cover - Let me know

Okay, thanks!! I'll do this book for that task then. :)

message 84: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (ksnapier) | 705 comments Monique, that sounds good. I'll see what else I can fill in with

message 85: by Kimberly (new)

Kimberly (ksnapier) | 705 comments RND 5 Christmas on the Coast There are 211 pages for the Happy New Year task #30 Christmas on the Coast by Rebecca Boxall

RND 6 A Winter’s Wish Come True by Lynsey James Task 33 - there are 254 pages needed to have a page count with two of these numbers 9-2-5

Then RND 7 - Christmas at the Second Chance Chocolate Shop (Rabbit's Leap, Book 3) by Kellie Hailes - task 15 - Christmas Tree on the cover

Luckily I am one that can read Christmas books year round! :)
