Read books of varying length written by different authors:

15.1 two or three short works adding up to 75-150 pages*
15.2 100-149 p
15.3 150-199p
15.4 200-249p
15.5 250-299p
15.6 300-349p
15.7 350-399p
15.8 400-449p
15.9 450-499p
15.10 500p or more

(*please see additional information/discussion regarding short stories in post 2 of this thread and in the help/questions thread about Page Count).

Remember that we will be using the MPE to determine page counts. However, page counts on GR can be corrected/edited, as quite often these come from a publishers estimate rather than actual page counts. You can lock in the displayed MPE page count for your plan by posting in advance. Additionally, if you suspect the displayed page count is in error, you are always welcome to post in the librarian help thread to have it corrected. Your moderators will not be checking your plans in advance of your posting for the task, but, should there be a discrepancy at time of posting, the librarian logs can confirm that your post for the task is valid.

Each book claimed for Page Count must be written by a different author.

Books may be read in any order, but the number of pages should be connected to the assigned task (i.e. 330 page book should be claimed as 15.6 and 212 page book claimed as 15.4, regardless of order read.)

Page Count can be completed up to three times.

Scoring:
15 points per book
100 point completion bonus
50 point bonus for reading all living authors
100 point bonus for reading all books published before 1950

A Few Reminders:

I. You cannot claim regular style points for any book you read for Page Count (nor do the Page Count tasks count as combo style points for Reading with Style's 10 and 20 point tasks).

II. Please be aware that cookbooks, illustrated guides, and graphic novels are not allowed for the sub-challenge. Also, books designated as "YA", "Assignment", or "Juv" by the Brooklyn Public Library with a Lexile score less than 800 are not allowed

Kate S | 6459 comments For post 2:

Please be aware that short stories on Goodreads need to have been published separately from their magazine/journal or anthology. You may find stories added here that do not belong, and those may be deleted at some unknown future date. To be sure your reading for 15.1 will be on GR when you want to claim the task, we urge you to choose stories that have an ISBN or ASIN on the GR record. If you have questions about a specific entry, please ask in the help thread.
