That's the point! Well, besides trying to decrease my outstanding series list. Kind of sad I blew through so many this year. My list was triple the size at the start of 2017. Am expecting the list to grow again with the buddy reads ;-)

I'm hoping to get down to a reasonable number of open series so I can start a whole bunch of new ones. I don't think we'll have any trouble with bonus points haha.

Finally updating this thread. Made progress in Iron Druid, First Law, Realm of the Elderlings, and First Law. And started a few new series. The ones I didn't give up on after a couple books I bolded. I have a long way to go.

Added a few new ones. Six of Crows, Blackthorn and Grim, Red Rising. Finished 0 series. I'm not doing so well.
This list is pathetic. I have added like 17 new series since the start of the year and only completed 4. And Fever doesn't count since I guess the last book wasn't really the last and I might have to either keep reading or move it to abandoned. I suck at finishing series :-(
I started 34 series this year. That's twice your number. Feel better now? HahahaTo feel better, I consider different 'eras' within a same universe as different series. For example, I've got Red Rising (3 books) and Red Rising Era 2 (1 book out, 2 more planned?), First Law (3) and First Law World (4), etc. No, it is not cheating. I'm merely bending the rules.
Btw, you're currently reading the Riyria Revelations, not the Chronicles.

I lumped them into 1 series so that I don't feel like i'm constantly starting a billion series. Like Mistborn would be 7 books in 1 series, Realms of the Enderlings is 1 series of 16 books instead of like 4 different series, Kushiel's universe is 1 series of 9 books, etc.

Mmmh, I see. I only saw the 'completing a billion series' side of this haha. I'm considering making a 'extended universes' category just for such series. (Yay, more lists! :p)

It's the different personalities. Those who feel good about crossing things off lists, and those who feel too overwhelmed by the things on the list to even make steps in crossing them off ;-)

All those series names with chronicles, saga, archives, files or books in it are always confusing me haha.
I know someone who loves ticking things off lists so much that she always starts her to-do list with 'make a to-do list' 😂

I think I have 4 months to go until I’ve been doing this challenge for 2 years and I think I have one more open series than when I started. So you have company in sucking at finishing series.

I don't update this thread often, but just did an update and finished a few more series: The Hallows, Georgina Kincaid, The Riyria Revelations. And I officially abandoned The Faithful and the Fallen. Made some progress with a few other series. Not too bad.
Oh and Sookie Stackhouse! Finished that one after way too many years. That was painful and deserves a drink.

About 20% through book 2. I just was not interested. At all. My mind kept wandering. I *might* give it another go one day, but if I do I need to start back at book 1 cuz I started spacing out back at the beginning of that one and by book 2 couldn't remember some of the characters.

I managed to make myself read the first three books of The Faithful and the Fallen but I was eye rolling all the way through and getting more and more annoyed with every book. I was hoping the buddy read would encourage me to finish off the series but I think it might have to go into the abandoned pile.
I finally started Babylon's Ashes!! Hopefully I can hurry up and read the rest with you 😊
